I just heard something on the radio on the radio that had me laughing so hard, I nearly fell out of my chair. It was a quote by a scientist who was trying to reduce people's fear of shark attacks when swimming on vacation. He said:

"You have more chance of being hurt by a hamster that being hurt by a shark".

I couldn't help but think: Ok, but not many hamsters are capable of taking your arm off either. A shark attack may be less likely, but it also hurts a whole lot more. I mean, think about it, there will probably never be a movie called "Habitrail!" which features a vicious golden hamster running amock in a Petsmart. Why? because hamsters are just don't offer a threat. Shark attack = Scary and Painful, but A hamster attack is almost an oxymoron. A hamster attack is just not that terrifying a prospect (now cleaning a hamster's cage, thats another matter).

OK, so I have no real point to make here, I just thought someone might get a chuckle over the whole sharks vs hamsters concept.
