I think you are talking about the Hampton Inn Oak Plantation - and it is owned by Starwood now... those are some really REALLY great rates you got! We stayed there little over a year ago, and we really enjoyed it. Just be sure to ask for a pool view or you won't be happy with your view... If you get a 1 bedroom, ask for the larger size 1 bedroom, they have a small 1 bedroom, and it is small!!!

The pool was great... but the drive was about 20 minutes or so plus additional time for parking.. It isn't the best location, but the price is excellent, and the resort is nice....

Hope this helps!

the name was/is Hampton Oak Plantation. It has a great pool area. If you take the 535/536 roads, you avoid the 192 construction and get to the WDW area much quicker. We enjoyed both of our stays. It isn't Disney but you get a lot of space for your buck.

We will be staying just 2 nights at the Oak Plantation Resort. Therefore we will likely stay at the resort most of the time except for a trip to Typhoon Lagoon.

Thanks for the advice of asking for a pool view.

I am also having trouble getting the reservation conformation threw email. I have called twice asking for it. Actually I have two reservations, I did get the conformation on the first reservation. It did not show cancellation policy. I have been told that I have until 6 pm the night of the reservation to cancel. A site for the Oak Plantation showed the cancellation policy to be 30 days.

I am going to call one more time and ask for the confermation to be mailed to me with the same night cancellation policy on it. If I do not get it soon I will find something else.
