Anyone else looking forward to getting this tomorrow? Personally I'm not, but my DS14 sure is!:teeth:

DS11 is BEGGING me to at least let him rent it or play it at a friend's house. I don't like the M rating though. Is the 1st one real bad? Realistic violence or what? I don't have a clue.
I think it's funny when DS is trying to talk me into a game that I'm not sure about. Just 2 days ago he was trying to talk me into a fighting one (Def Jam Fight for NY). He told me it wasn't really bad stuff, just violence. LOL
So what's so bad about Halo to have the M rating?

My boys and DH have been waiting for this game to come out forever! :teeth:

I'm taking my 12yo DS tonight at mdnight to get his copy. Nothing that I would normally do, but he's been waiting for over a year for its release.

Violence aplenty, but it's marines fighting aliens, so the violence is reality based, but kind of like a good guy, bad guy thing. Not like "Grand Theft Auto" which I strictly forbid.

missy: ds says there is violence like Royalbear stated--mostly fighting aliens. There is some curse words like damn, etc. but no f-bombs (ds' term).

Yes, DS said some of his friends were going out at midnight to get it too. But then they'd want to play it, right? We reserved a copy for him at Coconuts, which I'll pick up after work tomorrow.

Thanks for the info. Maybe I'll "forbid" DS from playing this 1....then get it for him for Christmas!!;) :teeth:

Ok, I am a nerd. I must be one of the few adults waiting for this game. I have had this on my calender forever. November 9th Halo 2!!:o

My husband doesn't actually want to go to the midnight release party my store is having! He's been waiting forever, but apparently can make it until I come home from work tomorrow. (Who wants to bet he comes to the store at lunchtime? :p )

Our store is getting 370 copies and more than half are pre-orders - so we only have 110 copies for the non-pre-ordering public!

I decided to wait for my lunch break tomorrow to pick up our copy.. I'm picking up Everquest2 as well tomorrow.. So both myself and my son will be occupied with new games.

Yay, i cant wait !!!

I can't wait! I'm heading to my local GameStop with a few friends at midnight (yes I'm a total geek but I love being one:p)

Yep, My son, 17yr, is very much looking forward to this even. He works tonight until 10pm. I will pick him up (no driver's license yet) and then he will change clothes in backseat and I will drive him to GameStop and drop him off for the line. He paid it all up and he is siked that he will be in the VIP line (already paid)!!. I MAY need to show up to get it for him (midnight!!!) since ya have to be 18 to purchase. I MAY have to drive him home. augh.
I am even!!! going to allow him to be "sick" tomorrow so he can play it. (It is a minimum day for him, he would get out at 11am).............
what can I say.........I love my baby boy. I would do anything for him......................(he knows it and he appreciates it too)

I'm getting it tonight after work. Just hope I get out by midnight.

90 minutes from now, hmmmm...

What a mom!!;) I do stuff like that for my kids too. They don't bother "faking sick" since they know we "play hookie" together often for something fun anyways!! :teeth:

I believe that the age to buy it is 17, so hopefully you won't have to go stand in line.

I am picking up DS's advance copy for him tomorrow morning. He's 16 and has been waiting for the release of this game for over a year.

I'm a GTA fan and only have a playstation. But I've come really close before to getting and xbox just to play Halo. I've played it and friends house and love the multiplayer. Maybe I'll get it for myself for xmas. :)

Honestly...your the coolest mom ever. On behalf of all videogame playing sons who's mom's never understood, I nominate you for mother of the year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :teeth:

Our local blockbuster is selling them beginning at midnight. DH is lining up to get it and play immediately with a buddy, then come home, sleep a little....

and tomorrow morning...major Halo 2 party. 15-20 grown men playing with their boxes hooked, tv's in different rooms, etc.

I'm talking 30-60 year old men. Businessmen, a high school principal...they are taking the day off work.

They are sooooo excited.:bounce: :bounce:

The new GTA is AMAZING!!! Although I am horrible at it. Definitely not for kids though.

Just got Halo 2. There is an EBX and an EB Games at the mall. The line at EBX when I got there at 12:30am was about 30 people deep. Thank goodness I pre-ordered from the other store. Only 2 people there.

I was the only female picking up this game. :)

Sadly, they wouldn't let me pick up EQ2 that also comes out tomorrow.

Is it just me, or is there a huge influx of good games out now that I just don't have time to play. Halo, GTA, Roller Coaster Tycoon 3, Sims 2 and now EQ2.

Yes, I am a geek. It's my boyfriend's fault. He enables me.
