Has anyone done the dessert party at MK? Is watching from Tomorrowland terrace a good location? Less crowded than Main St and the Hub? I will have two little ones with me, so any info you can give me would be appreciated. :thanks:

I have not been to the dessert party but will echo what I have read in the threads, since I am considering the same event if it comes to MVMCP:

1. Tomorrowland terrance is an OK location, but the overhanging roof can block some of the fireworks.
2. They have changed from reserved seating to first come first served, so there are people showing up an hour early to grab one of the coveted spots by the railing. In my opinion, this takes way too much time away from the party.

Not sure if they are going to utilize the old FP+ wishes viewing area at some point, that would be worth it!

We did it last year. While it was nice, I am not sure it is worth it. The spot for the parade was nice but having to be there so early for a decent spot took away so much party time! The deserts were tasty but nothing super special (although the hot cocoa was to die for). By being on the Tomorrowland Terrace, we missed the full effect of the perimeter fireworks. It really doesn't matter what table you're at because most everyone will push to be pressed up against the railings since the tables are about 10 feet back.

Sorry to hijack your thread, OP but I was just curious... Would there be a chance that this party would be moved to the fastpass+ section since that's where the regular wishes dessert party is now?

That would be great, but it does say Tomorrowland terrace as the location. Right now they are using the FP+ area for same day dessert part reservations, so I would assume something like that for the parties.

Aw shucks. I was hoping :) It is something to consider especially since it eats a lot of time.

I know regular parties are now first come first serve, but due to the parade coming right before the party and most people coming straight from the parade spot I'm wondering if it'll be reserved like last year. Have they actually said anywhere their no longer reserved? Because then people might skip the parade to line up which kind of defeats the purpose of this package.

We did the party last year as our first time at MNSSHP (2 adults) and loved it. No problem getting right in front for the parade. Not sure about the dessert party but the party itself was sold out. Everyone was spread out at the parade location with no one standing in front of everyone. A couple minutes after it eneded we headed to Tomorrowland Terrace where we had a reserved seat. The tables had sparkling cider and a candy filled skull cup too. Then we lined up for desserts and eating those took until the fireworks started. Most people were already standing up by then but I got a spot right at the railing. I thought the view of the fireworks was good though I've never seen them from another angle.

I hope you're right.

My 4 year old son and I did this last year and this is exactly how I feel about this too.

After our experience at last year's MNSSHP, I decided that I didn't want to fight the crowds for a parade spot or to see fireworks ever again. I'd rather skip MNSSHP than go through that mess again this year. I booked the party and just avoiding the anxiety of getting a good spot for either is worth it for me.

I decided on 2 MNSSHP nights 10/18 Tuesday and October 20, Thursday. Now I need to decide Which night for the dessert party. Hmmm.. Decisions, decisions. We have and ADR at BOG at 4:35 Thursday so am thinking we will do the dessert party on our first MNSSHP night, Tuesday.
