Was anyone at MNSSHP on 10/2? And if you were, did you watch HalloWishes?

We were right there in front of the castle but for some strange reason they didn't dim the lights. The announcement had just come on saying they were going to, but they didn't. They were pretty noticable during the show.
Was this a mistake or do they always leave them on? :confused3

We were there on 10/2 for MNSSHP. We were right in front of the castle also. From my photos i can't see any lights on. The only lights i can see are the ones inside the castle. Which lights are you referring to?

All of them. They never shut off the lights around the hub. They always did for normal Wishes the two times we watched that.

How could you have not noticed the lamps? :confused3

We were there...we didn't notice anything strange. However, on 9/29 the show started 15 minutes late!! Yikes!

Are you sure they were on for the whole show. I've noticed a few times the lights were not shut off on cue at the start of wishes but were noticed and turned off shortly after the beginning.

I think they are supposed to turn them off for Hallowishes. I don't believe the lights turning off are automated. I think they are done from the show control area up on the top of the building in front of the castle.

We were there on 10/2 also. We were right in front of the castle and I'll have to admitt, I didn't notice the lights never went out. I thought the show was fantastic and I have it all on video. I'll have to watch it tonight and see if I notice any lights.

I am positive. I remember during the finale a family member whispered 'This would be so much better if those lamps weren't burning into our eyes'.

I don't know how either of you 2 didn't notice the lights never went out!

I didn't notice the lights either! :rotfl:

We were at the very end of Main Street, in front of the bakery and ice cream shop. I guess I was so zoned in on the fireworks that I blocked everything else out!

We were standing behind the castle kind of between carrousel & Pinnochio's cafe and everytime I'd turn around to see the fireworks coming from the castle I was staring into a big block of about 6 spotlights placed somewhere like on the roof of Philharmagic. But I also noticed them above IASW shining down onto the sidewalk because we were exiting HM just as the fireworks started and did a fast walk to the above location but looking up above IASW towards the fireworks we were looking into the spotlights there too. I didn't notice any lights getting brighter after the fireworks were over either.

 We looked in our pictures, and yes, they were on. And in our pictures of Wishes the night before, they weren't. Go figure.

sorry to hijack this but how were the crowds?

For the party, pretty light - I've posted in a couple places, but we walked onto everything at the party. At 7 there was no one in Frontierland, and we got through 4 attractions in Fantasyland (Peter Pan, Dumbo, Snow White, and Pooh) plus a trick or treat stand in about 20 minutes. We had about 5 minute waits for Space and Buzz (Space was mostly just the hike, LOL) and got a GREAT spot for the Villains Mix and Mingle at the 5 minute announcement. It ended about 15 minutes before the fireworks so we got a great spot on Main Street for HalloWishes. Main Street was practically empty and didn't start to fill in until the last 5 minutes before the fireworks. We kept our spot for the parade, and even as the parade started it was only 2 people deep where we were (by the ice cream shop and bakery)

We were there on 10/2 and everything was less than a 10 minute wait. We did not trick or treat just visited the attractions and fireworks. We did everything that we wanted throughout the park and exited the park around 11:00. I did talk to a bus driver and he said they did expect crowds to get heavier during the Columbus day week.
