I like the Halloween Town movies and am glad they will be on DVD.

But the whole family Loved the "Boogedy" movies. Remember them?
They came out in the late '80's I think.

They were also made for TV by Disney, if I remember correctly. Anybody know if they were ever available on VHS or DVD? I would love to own them. We liked them even more then the Halloween Town
Therer were 2 movies, at least.
They were about a family that moved to a small town, and then brought a old Ghost back and how they got rid of it.
We had them taped off the TV, cause we knew we were going to Japan for a few years, and did not get USA shows then. So we taped them and we have watched them so much in the last 15 to 20! years that the tape is not viewable.

Hope someone knows something about these older movies.

Thanks in advance!

Oh my gosh! My brother and I loved Mr Boogedy!! We had it on tape and would watch it over and over. I have looked it up on Ebay before and they had what looked like someones homemade VHS copy. It had a title I didn't remember. I do wish Disney would release them on DVD for Halloween.

I remember the Boogedy movies. THey were part of the wonderful world of disney on Sunday nights in the mid-late 80s. They scared the pants off me. I never wanted to go into the basement or see our shop vac for awhile after. The ghosts name was Jonathan they brought back. I have them on VHS from when they first aired.

The two movies were
Mr. Boogedy (1986)
Bride of Boogedy (1987)

Hard to believe it was almost 20 years ago! Hopefully, disney will release them for the 20th anniversary. I know they are releasing the parent trap movies (2and 3) they made for tv this fall.

Thanks scoutsmom99! I thought the first movie was something like that. But I had no idea what the second one was called. I did not even remember what it was about till you posted the name! Bride of Boogedy! Now I remember.

Hope some one knows how we could find good, legal copies of them. There are so many Disney movies I almost remember.. but these 2 were some of the best!

Anyone know when the last time they were on TV? I remember we taped the first one when it was first on. Then we went to Japan before the second one came out. And we returned home to Calif. in 1990, and taped both again that Oct. I almost remember it being on in 91, but not in 1992.

So if anyone knows the last time it was shown, please let us all know! Or if we could every see it again? Does Disney have a vault of the old made for TV movies and if so will they ever release them? Or wouldn't it make enought money/not enought intrest in them?

Inquireing mind wants to know....

Thanks again to all you that have posted with info! Nice to know I wasn't the only one that remembers these!

Ask a mod to move this thread over to the Community Board. More people might know or have answers over there.

DS loved these when they came out. I had recorded them then but the tapes have sense become unwatchable. He was just asking me last week if we could buy them for his kids.

I don't know how to ask a mod? to move it... can I just copy and paste? Or is that tacky/a no-no? :confused3
Great idea, thou, thanks!

that little red triangle at the bottom right of each post is report to moderator do that one and someone should move it. or edit the title and ask for it to be moved to the CB.

I went and pressed the little red traingle at the bottom, but then I noticed that it was ONLY to be used for rude, obnoxious, or ? posts.
Don't think this is any of them... confused... maybe... and in want of info!

Good idea to move it, will try and work on it tomorrow...
