Halloweentime with Mickey PTR ***complete!~TR link added- post #205***

Julia, you're getting so close! (which means I'm also getting so close, LOL!) :lmao: Pictures of the binder? Pretty please? :goodvibes

So my binder, as evidenced on page 1 of this PTR, has undergone a couple makeovers. The last one happened because my old laptop crashed and I LOST the old design! So I got impatient and said WHATEVER! Deciding to just use a Halloween color-- (orange, of course) and some Disney stickers. It turned out pretty cute though:

Inside are 5 tabbed sections, with 1/2 folders @ the end of each section to hold future receipts, maps, ticket stubs, and more info:

  • Cast & Crew Pix Pages
  • Itinerary & Park Information
  • Maps & Directions (with awesome PDF maps off the DIS!)
  • Menus & Dining
  • Can't Miss & Must Dos
Now, I got the information contained therein from a variety of places, here on the DIS, Allears.net, as well as WDW's own website.

Here's a sampling of pages:

DD & DS's pages:

There ya go! We leave in 3 days! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeee!

Beautiful trip binder!! You guys are so impressive. I was SO tickled with myself for just printing off "Squished Penny Holder" prints to paste on my M&M container. I just about fainted with glee over my achievements! ROFL :lmao:

YEA THREE DAYS!!!!

You get to use your binder (which looks great by the way) in just a few more days!!!

I am coveting your utensil holder -- I think my kitchen needs one too!

YEA THREE DAYS!!!!

We don't have a printer right now so DH was SO MAD I paid $7 to print money envelopes on glossy paper at the fedex/kinkos! But they're SO CUTE! :goodvibes

I'm very excited to "use" the binder. I also xeroxed the Daily Planner pages out of my "everything guide to Disneyland" and changed land to World. I can't wait to fill that in w/what we do & journal thoughts!

And I was laughing that you said "coveting"- I use that word all the time instead of 'want'!

Hey! Followed the link in your siggy! Yor kids are too cute! Love your son's mohawk! Ds had one a few summers ago. We even had different hairgels to color coordinate his hair and outfits! We faux hawk or front spike it now.
Great scrapbook pages, too. I used to scrapbook, but sadly, all of my stuff hasn't come out of the basement since I moved- well over a year ago.
I liek the vase and s and p shakers. We have them, too. The vase is sitting empty on the table-think it'll become a utensil holder, too!

Great binder! You'll be using it in WDW before you know it! :cool1:

I have that same utensil holder in my kitchen - love it! I think I need the salt and pepper shakers to match!

Hey Julia just finally got through your whole PTR! It's great! You'll be sooo happy that you switched from DL to WDW (even though I've never been to DL lol). Too bad you won't be there in April since my BF and your DH would obviously get along  The trip binder is just too cute and makes mine look really whimpy :confused3 Your ADRs look great and you're going to have such a good time. Can't wait to read more and then the TR that you HAVE TO make when you get back :goodvibes

So yea, everybody, 2 days 'till we leave! :yay: :yay:
3 days till I see that castle! :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Here's the plan:

Wednesday, we go to work/school per usual. DH picks up DD from school OR she gets dropped off to our house @ 5 along with DS by DS's mom or stepdad. I get off work at 5 (hopefully sooner if we finish up w/pts sooner or if I can get co-workers to cover) and rush home. Change my clothes, jump in the car, and away we go!

Dinner will be sandwiches in the car and the first leg of the trip will be DH, who plans on driving 'until he gets tired'. I can sleep any time of day so I'll just snooze asap. :rotfl:

The plan is to drive straight through, alternating drivers for sleep and stopping as needed for potty breaks. There will be a stop at about 9pm for the kids to go pee, change into jams, brush their teeth.

We'll have my parent's 2003 Town & Country, so we all def. have enough room. I'll spread out in the back seat to get some sleep while the kids are up and Jim is driving during the first leg of the drive.

Car switch is tommorow so today after work I gotta have everything ready to go!

Woo! :laundy:

:wave2: Hi Tracy!
Cute idea about the hairgels. I bet DS would love that but we can only hawk it every once in a while, otherwise his mom keeps it pretty boring.... :rotfl:

Thanks for the comp. on the scrapbook pages. I haven't done any more! It's frustrating cuz DD5 wants to 'help' and it's not much help, kwim! :cutie:

Funny about the vase/shakers. Yes, def. turn it into a utensil holder, much more useful! :thumbsup2

Great binder! You'll be using it in WDW before you know it! :cool1:

I have that same utensil holder in my kitchen - love it! I think I need the salt and pepper shakers to match!

Can't wait to use it! :goodvibes And now I wish I'd bought the matching kitchen timer.... hope to find one @ the World.

You read the WHOLE thing?! Wow, you're resilient! :lmao: Your trip binder is not wimpy! You left a perfect space in the middle for some pizazz, I'm sure it will turn out perfect!

And don't worry- our little trip will stretch out for a looooooooooong TR! It has too, cuz DH has some dillusional idea that we can afford Hawaii next year, and until he sees the light  I'll have to keep the future planning on the D-L.

Sounds great Julia! :goodvibes Not only are we at Disney at the same time, we are practically leaving our respective homes at the same time! :lmao: We will be out the door, hopefully, by 4:30 Wednesday night to head to the airport. Flight leaves at 6:50 and arrives at 8:45 in Orlando on Wednesday night!

Kudos to you for driving through the night - I know I could handle it as well, it would be hubby who would turn into Grumpy after that car ride! In November, we drove until 1:00 AM and stopped at a hotel, and then drove the rest of the way the next day. It's about 11 hours from here.

How long a drive is it total for you? :confused3

Sara

Hey Julia! Wow - only two days!! So exciting! I hope your drive goes smoothly for you all! Hopefully the kids will sleep through most of it! :)

TWO DAYS!!!!!!!! Well, maybe ONE by now!!! YAY! How exciting!!! Safe travels, have fun, and take LOTS of pictures! I can't wait to read all about it when you get back!

I just can't wait to get into the car tommorow so I can sleep! I'm sooo tired & stressed! Yet excited, of course :woohoo: . But seriously, I can't wait to sleep!

It's a 19 hour drive. :scared1: Honestly, I'm not too worried about it. I've got a ton of radio podcasts, disney podcasts, other podcasts ready, we've got dvd in the van, the laptop, psp, leapster, nintendo ds.... :rotfl: For heaven's sake, what don't we have on the road that we have @ home? Our actual television! :rotfl: And a bathroom!

Yes! One day! Woo Hoo!

Tomorrow!! Woo Hoo!!! Are you ready to go?

Sorta... The kids are packed. I'm 99% packed....need to throw in some more socks & underwear, I think. Toiletries need to be packed, cold stuff can't be thrown into the food box/cooler till we leave.... DH is on his own...... Car swap w/parents is tonight after work.....

Need to print out directions, even though we'll have a GPS, but we still need hard copies & the addresses of everywhere written down/printed out. I'll do that before I leave work today.

:scared1:

Tomorrowwww!!! You better take lots and lots of notes and pics so you can give us one helluva TR haha Have a GREATTTT time!! :wizard: :wizard:
