My tickets still haven't arrived in the mail... I ordered more than a week ago! Hopefully today

I ordered my tickets to come via email 3 days ago. Nothing. Contacted Disney. They can't reissue my tickets (um, never received them to begin with) and I will have to go to guest relations to get into the party. Sigh. Sometimes the Internet is not faster.

But on a better note, DD and I are going to the party on 7 Oct! So excited!

Quick costume question:

Do you think that we would have issues with light up wearables (like computerized lights on our costumes)?

Is anyone who has received hard copies of their tickets able to post a picture of them? Our group of 8 all ordered them over the phone yesterday for Friday the 21st, and I'm dying to see what they look like! We are all first timers to MHP. Thanks!

I got mine via email, but in previous years the tickets looked exactly the same as regular park tickets. The only difference was they said MHP on the back with the date of your party.

It seems strange to me that they don't have special themed tickets

Interesting! Well, I hope they are at least a little different than our park tickets...we have Diamond Anniversary ones (which will obviously have ended by the time we go) I wish they did a special ticket with mickey in costume or something.

They do have mickey dressed up as a vampire for the print out tickets. There is a count down to Halloween on Facebook it says that it's 90 days until Halloween.

Will there be a way to turn off the lights on dark rides? There was a group of people last year who dressed as Tron characters in front of us at HM and a few other dark rides. Great costumes! When it was their turn to ride, the CM asked them to turn off their costume lights in consideration of other guests. Fortunately, they were able to do so. CMs didn't seem to have any problem with the lights themselves, only with the lights being turned off on the rides.

Well its august so we should be seeing halloween (not including craft stores) candy etc in stores any day now;)

  • Costumes may not contain sharp objects, pointed objects or materials that may accidentally strike another Guest.
This guideline means that a chimney sweeper, and an umbrella would probably be no-go's in the parks...correct? LOL :umbrella:

Hello everyone! I have a costume question. Originally I was not going to wear one for the party, but last night I was having some fun painting my face Joker style and stuff, and thought that I could go as a casual Harley Quinn. I'm not sure if this kind of paint face is allowed at Disney. It's not scary, but maybe a bit agressive for kids? I'm honestly not sure and I want to make sure it's ok for the party! Thank's guys!

Thank you, theluckyrabbit. I hadn't even thought about others on dark rides. I most certainly don't want to irritate.

My dragon glowing bits will definitely have an on off switch (or it will drive me crazy and drain batteries) but DD will be carrying a small bag with four led pin lights which I will have to have a think about a switch for...we will also have to add a switch for her necklace (which is sound activated).

I don't think it would be a problem, but honestly in all the years we've gone to the parties, most of the costumes are very family friendly and cheerful. The emphasis is on creative, cheerful, fun costumes. Dark costumes and makeup can attract some odd looks, as they do stand out among the sea of happy costumes. Even the ghost brides are usually cheerful, not scary, looking. This makeup strikes me as something that would be more at home at Knott's or Universal.

I got my tickets yesterday!! One for the 12th and one for the 14th. Wheeeee!!! Printed out and put into my travel wallet along with my g/c's, park ticket, Karmel Shuttle info, and flight info.

I used one of my $25 g/c's to lessen the blow, especially since I have to factor in the exchange so with luck that $25 will help take care of that.

So happy I've got my tickets!

If switches are difficult maybe you could bring a small dark colored bag, and put the necklace and light up bag into the dark bag on rides. I'm picturing one of those drawstring backpacks so it's small and light and easy to stash when you're not on rides.
