Hi everyone, just a few questions here.
We have been blessed the last few years to be able to make a trip on average every 2 months. However, we just added a baby basset hound to our family zoo and know that we won't be able to get back to the parks til she is a little older we're thinking about the end of Sept. So my questions...
1. If we book for the weekend of Sept 24 & 25th will Halloweentime be in full swing? Any word on if the awesome Halloween fireworks from last year will return?
2. We usually only get in a half day on Fri and all of Sat, does it sound like we will have a snowballs chance of getting a showpass for WOC... or better yet, any rumors of a premier/or dinner package including this show?
3. Any idea what the Destination D is all about? We were thinking of throwing this into the mix.
And finally
4. Anyone have and experience with the Disneyland kennels? How much per day does it cost? How old does the dog have to be (Charlotte will be 7months)? Can we make reservations to be sure she gets in or should we make arrangements for her somewhere close to home?
Thanks in advance for all your wonderful help! :cool1:

Not sure about 2, 3 and 4, but #1 has been discussed a lot in our "Halloween at DL" photo & info super thread.

I am pretty sure that as long as DLR sticks with its patterns of the last 2 years, then the official start date of Halloweentime should be Friday, September 24th. So everything Halloween-related except for the TOTP would be in full swing, including fireworks. As far as we know, the rumor was that the fireworks would return, and there is even talk of a new Halloween parade this year. Of course, it is always a possibility that Disney could switch things up on us and start Halloweentime one week later, on October 1st, but they usually seem to like starting it in September, so my guess is the 24th.

The actual schedule with all dates and Halloween entertainment/activities should be released on DLR's website in late June or early July, I would think.

Thanks Sherry! I try and stay away from photo super threads because they tend to take 5mins to load on my computer if they load at all. Sorry if my questions were redundant.

I took my family last year during that timeframe and the fireworks were FANTASTIC! Hope to do it again this year.

I think Halloweentime started Sept 25 last year, so it sounds like you stand a good chance of being there for the first weekend of this year. Disney has already posted some Halloween info including info about the return of the Halloween fireworks: http://disneyland.disney.go.com/dis...nts/detail?name=HalloweenTimeSpecialEventPage

Rumors about showpass and premier/dinner packages abound. There is at least one thread on here going strong right now about how starting in May you can only book Ariel's 30 days out, the princesses won't be there, and it all has something to do with WOC. We'll have to wait and see I guess.
3. Any idea what the Destination D is all about? We were thinking of throwing this into the mix.
Can't help you here.
4. Anyone have and experience with the Disneyland kennels? How much per day does it cost? How old does the dog have to be (Charlotte will be 7months)? Can we make reservations to be sure she gets in or should we make arrangements for her somewhere close to home?

No experience but looked some of this up for a friend once. I think it's at least $20 per day. Your dog has to be at least 4 or 6 months old, and you have to have proof of a bunch of vaccinations. No overnight. I'm sure if you search this on the official disneyland site, you'll get better information than I can remember.

Oh no, don't worry about being redundant or non-redundant here! Just ask whatever you need to ask, and there is always someone to answer.:goodvibes I know exactly what you mean about slow-loading computers on threads with lots of photos. Sometimes I run into that problem in certain threads, or certain pages of certain threads, and my PC locks up (but my PC is old and sick!). Other times, I check the same exact thread the next day and don't have that problem. It seems to be hit or miss, but when it happens it is sooooooo annoying. I just stare at the screen, waiting for something to happen!!:rotfl2:
