halloween

what should i be for halloween? I'm going to two parties and mostly everyone will be in costume. i don't know what to go as...I don't want a costume that i have to buy or rent. I want something that doesn't require a mask, and something that i can put together from things in my closet. any suggestions?

Laurie...I have some cute peasant tops/ a pair of burnt orange cordoroy pants and regular black pants. I might go to HM or filenes basement tomorrow to see if they have anything cute but cheap...

The last time I went to a dress up Halloween party I went as a farmer. Borrowed some overalls, put my hair in dog ears, wore a straw hat that was DH's, wore DH's work boots, and carried my gardening set of small tools. Once I went as a hippy since I still had hippy things from that era. Wore bell bottoms, a poncho, love beads, and painted a peace sign and flower on my face. Alas I really did dress this way once upon a time!
