My family and I are going down over Halloween. It is my kids first trip and I was wondering what kind of crowds should we expect during that week. Has anyone been down there during Halloween before.

I haven't been at Halloween, but have doing research for our trip coming up next month. FRom what everyone says, it looks like it will be more crowded than it is now (IOW... not dead). But less crowded than mid-October. I am anticipating low lines except for those times we choose to do an evening EMH (only one of those to deal with). We are used to going at busier times, so I think the last week of October is going to be a treat for our family

We were there over Halloween 2002 and will be there again this year. I didn't think the crowds were bad at all. Most lines for rides were 5-15 minutes. The more popular attractions like Space Mountain ran 20-30 min. In 2002 the kids were pretty little so we walked right on most of the rides they were interested in. We did notice the crowds were larger on Saturdays but a CM told us lots of FL residents pop in on weekends. Our other trips have been in March, June, and September and I thought the crowds were much larger during those months. Hope you have a great time :) :)

We've been to Disney the last week of October twice now and again this year.

It's a GREAT time of year to be a Disney in regards to weather AND crowds.

Halloween doesn't make the parks more crowded, only the party at night is a sell out.

Have fun!

We have been to WDW the last 10 days of October for the last 5 years. The weater is wonderful. Shorts with MAYBE a sweatshirt in the evening. However, last year Hurricane Wilma came through and it was very cold. It was the first time we did NO swimming. So, pack accordingly.

As for crowds, they are low, but it doesn't mean no lines for rides. Major rides can still have 30 - 60 minute waits. Make sure to use the FP system and you'll be fine. You will still need ADR's for table service at most places, or choose to go at really off times. But, even that doesn't mean you'll be able to get into the place you want.

If you haven't gotten tickets for MNSSHP , you might want to consider that. It's a great time, but don't go on Halloween night if you are looking for the lowest crowds.

Have a great Halloween trip!! :maleficen :hmghost:
