halloween????

we were planning on going back in may of 07(por), but we are having thoughts of pushing it back to mid oct. (around halloween time).....would it be worth it?? how is halloween there?? crowds?? weather?? need feedback...thank you.....

We went the first week in October 2005 and the weather was hot and humid, high 80s. I think it was crowded, but we had a blast. The Halloween party was great!

we went during the last wek of October last year during Halloween. We hit the paks that didn't have the extra hours and the crowds were light compared to our recent trip in April. We had great weather and are booked for this October. Food & Wine in Epcot is awesome.

October is a great time of year. It is still hot but for the most part less rain - Wilma came in October this year, but that only affected one day!

We love the MNSSHP - have gone in 2003, 2004 and twice in 2005 and will be going this year!

Crowds are moderate to light depending on exactly when.

DD and I stay scale back our visits to the parks from Jun-Sept - but start going back full force in October!

As for Halloween in particular...you will not really see signs of it unless you attend MNSSHP. The parks are not decorated like they are for Christmas. The party is a blast but is an additional charge. They are held on certain evenings from 7:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. A limited number of tickets are sold so the crowd is minimum. Things offered at the party are: rides have no wait times, trick or treating, special parades and fireworks, dance parties with characters, characters in costumes, and did I mention rides with no wait time .
