What does SeaWorld San Diego do special in the park for their "Halloween" weekends? Will crowds be much higher? We will be visiting San Diego area the weekend before Halloween and I am trying to decide if we should go on Saturday or Sunday for the Halloween festivities or if we are better off going during the week for smaller crowds. Thank for any advice!

If you go on the weekends you can dress up and they have trick or treating stations throughout the park. There is also a section where you can do other Halloween activities for an additional fee such as pumpkin carving, face painting, etc. It will be more crowded then during the week but last year we got there when it opened did a few things started trick or treating at 11:00 before it got too crowded. By 1:00 the Halloween activities were a zoo but we still had a good time.

Are the Halloween activities worth the crowds for an 8 year old? We only have one day to see SeaWorld and have never been to a SeaWorld so I need to decide between lower crowds during the week or higher crowds with Trick or Treating. Are the candy stops similar to Disney's Halloween Party or not nearly as elaborate?

I have never been to the Disney Halloween party but from what I've heard sea world doesn't even come close. I would pick lower crowds during the week if you have never been. You won't be missing much by not doing the trick or treating.

Thanks for your help-I really appreciate it!! How are Mondays usually during October? We will be leaving Disney Saturday and driving to San Diego. I would like to visit Sea World and the Safari Zoo Sunday-Tuesday along with fishing and some beach time :)

Anyday during the week is significantly less crowded than the weekends, so you should be good on a Monday. Last year I went on a Tuesday in November and I felt like we were the only ones there.
