Thinking of going 10/29-11/4 and attending MNSSHP one of those nights. Has anyone been there during this time that can give me some info on the crowds at the party and regular days at the parks? Thanks!!

The crowds weren't that bad but they build quickly past that weekend because it's Jersey week. We did find that it was much HOTTER than we expected though. The dates you would be going to MNSSHP would all certainly be sold out unless they do one past Halloween again in 2010 but I would think that would be doubtful on a Monday night. We went on the 1st this year and it wasn't very crowded even though it was the weekend. Even if it's sold out if you plan out what you want to do I think you would still have fun you just can't expect to be able to do every single thing offered--even with lower crowds you can't either. We liked that time of year but it was a bit complicated trying to plan for Spectro (only very few nights) and around the Food and WIne at Epcot which was crazy busy every night.

My DSis and her family went to MNSSHP on Oct. 30 of 2008. They found it too packed to enjoy and wished they had not done it. I will qualify that with the explanation that they hadn't been to WDW before at all, and the party night was their first day/night in MK. So really I think they were just very overwhelmed and didn't have their bearings yet. Had they asked me, I would not have suggested that the party be their first experience at MK.

But if you are fairly experienced, and know what to expect/how to get around, then I think you could have fun despite the crowds.

I think overall the crowds in the parks were fairly manageable during their stay, which was the same days you are thinking of.

We will be going the same dates and was wondering if we should do MNSSHP on Sat. the 30th or Sunday the 31st? Will both days be equally as crowded?
If we did do MNSSHP on Sat. what should we do on Halloween? Go to another park or maybe DD?

They will both sell out so personally I'd go the 31st. DTD has trick or treat the 30th and 31st. The 30th was nice but the 31st was insanely crowded. We did DTD the 30th, Cirque de Sol the 31st, and MNSSHP on the 1st. Really was nice in terms of crowds and fun.
