Halloween week - other than MNSSHP

Hi all... we'll be staying this year for the first time during the actual week of Halloween, into early Nov. We are planning a night earlier in the week to go to MNSSHP, and are wondering what else there might be to do for the kids on the 31st within WDW. I've read somewhere that there are some things at DTD...but not sure if that's the only option. Any thoughts on this? Thanks.

I've heard Halloween night is pretty crowded, as in "PACKED!"

The Boardwalk and Downtown Disney both have trick-or-treating. I don't know what DTD does, but I know at BW, they had a DJ, some crafts for kids, characters, games, and then trick-or-treating of course. The Boardwalk Community Hall also had a party from noon until 5 but I don't know if they will be doing that this year for sure.

Where are you staying?

That sounds cool. We're in a split stay that week, starting at BWV on 10/24, moving over to AKV on 10/27 til 11/2. We are just looking at which parks we might hit when, and were just trying to figure out what we might do that afternoon evening of 10/31 with the kids. Since they'll have already been to MNSSHP, and gotten candied up, we might just enjoy the pool at that time, but figured IF something were happening somewhere, we'd consider it. Thanks for the heads up on BW...maybe that's where we'll go...

Hi! We're staying at AKV on 10/31 too! Just the one night before our cruise, though- so we'll be doing MNSSHP that night. A friend of mine did it a few years ago on Halloween and said it wasn't all that bad, so we're going to hope for the best!! Anyway, see you at the pool!!!

DTD had trick or treating both on Halloween and its eve. We stayed at VWL and during Halloween day they had activities for the children, including a parade around the resort. We went over to the BW for the activities on Halloween. Our DGC had lots of fun!
