After a third year of rain and cold weather, I have decided to be in WDW for Halloween 2016.
Have any of you ever been this time of year? I really like the idea of seeing the Halloween and Christmas decorations in one trip.
Have you begun to plan a 2016 Halloween trip?

Well I know the Halloween night MNSSHP sells out fast so if you are planning for that, keep that in mind. Watch for the tix as soon as they go on sale.

I will keep that in mind. I will be watching crowd levels for this week and the weather, just for reference of course!

We were in Orlando from October 10th to 17th.....a couple of weeks before Halloween. This was our first October trip (previous visits had been in January, May, August and December).

We loved, loved, LOVED October. The Halloween events were excellent and did not disappoint (we did two MNSSHP's and Halloween Horror Nights at Universal with an RIP Tour and Scareactor Dining Experience). The weather was spectacular (sunny, hot, not too humid) and crowds were very manageable for our week.

We enjoyed it so much, tentative plans are already in the works for next October. It's way too early to book our flights, but we've already got our villa reserved.

I have a trip report in progress that details our October adventures, if you would like to check it out:

October is by far our favourite time to go. We love the weather and the crowds aren't too bad (except for Epcot, of course). We love the Halloween Party (or we did until this year's crap-tastic experience). The only downfall is that park hours are shorter.

Was just at Epcot (14th) and MK (16th) after Thanksgiving. Epcot was busy but not super busy - it wasn't an EMH day and there was still room to walk and short lines for all the Food and Wine kiosks. Wait for Soarin' got to 120 minutes and Test Track 90 minutes, but we used FastPass+ for the former and waited until late afternoon for the latter so didn't have to wait that long. Kids even managed to last from opening until Illuminations.

MK still had long lines for the usual suspects at times but the longest we had to wait was 30 min for Small World, Pirates and Space Mountain. Lots of costumes for the Halloween Party, which was cool to see. Hadn't seen that much cosplay since the last time I went to Fan Expo.

Would you say the Halloween party is more about the parade and fireworks or about shorter times for rides?
