Think back to when you were a kid (for some of us this requires more thinking that others). When you emptied your halloween bag at the end of trick or treating what was your favorite item (the one where you did a fist pump and said "SCORE") and your least favorite item? Was there a strange or weird treat that you received and still remember years later?

Favorite Treat: Snickers Bar
Least Favorite Treat: Candy Corn
Strange/Weird Treat: Chocolate Easter Bunny

My cousin and I had trick or treating down. At the end of the night, we put all of our candy out counted and sorted by catagories: sucker, gum, chocolate, etc. We let the grown ups choose some then we traded.

Favorite Treat: Almond Joy
Least Favorite Treat: anything banana or root beer flavored, black licorice (I liked most candy :))
Strange/Weird Treat: raisins

Favorite Treat: Werther's Original
Least Favorite Treat: black licorice
Strange/Weird Treat: sunflower seeds

Favourite: Sweet Tarts or Twix (or the one cool house that gave out full size Reese Cup Packages and a full canned soda--oh we loved them).

Least Favourite: anything with nuts and licorice

Oddest: Store bought mass valentines with the candy that goes with them (like for kids to take for school).

Favorite Treat: neesles crunch
Least Favorite Treat: black liccorace (though I gor VERY excited to have candy to give to grandma
Strange/Weird Treat: pennies, pencils, nothing really weird. got 5 dollars and a donut once.

Favorite: Snickers, 3 Musketeers, Milky Way, Butterfinger, etc-- I'm not too picky-- just give me CHOCOLATE!!

Least Favorite: licorice! YUCK.

Strange/Weird: Raisins. Please.

Favorite: Reese's
Least favorite: candy corn
Weird: Halloween pencils. Halloween pencils are great during the couple of weeks before Halloween, but who wants to use one on November 1st?

Worst crappy candy: the candy which comes in the plain orange wrappers, and pulls out your fillings. Is it plumbers putty? An edible polymer? Who knows what it is...:confused3

Jerry Seinfeld used to do a really funny stand-up bit about trick or treating.

This may be it:

It's Peanut Butter Kisses!!!!!

And I know this because, this is my mothers ALL TIME FAVORITE candy to pass out. Even still today, she would be passing it out if her grand kids wouldn't have told her they wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole. She just buys it for herself to eat, now. GROSS, NASTY stuff!!!!!!

Best candy: Twix bars or anything with Caramel
Worst treat: apples and hard candy
Strangest: Coupons (just everyday coupons, not for like a free fries) 50cents off laundry soap, every kids dream!!:lmao:

Favorite: Mounds or Almond Joy; Twix; goodie bags with little stickers, toys and candies;
Least Favorite: Dried prunes, raisins and black licorice
Weird/Strange: a can of Campbell's condensed chicken noodle soup; foreign coins

best-peanut butter cups

worst-pixie sticks (they would break and just make a mess in the bag)

oddest-religious cards (sneakily put into a little halloween bag that made it look like you were getting multiple pcs. of candy-no candy just the cards:guilty:)

most popular ever treat we gave out-a local store sold coupon books, one coupon was good for ANY of the donuts they made. you would have thought we were giving out gold bars-we had kids that made a point of asking when they hit our house subsequent years if we were giving out "the cool free donut coupons again":thumbsup2

best- bags of chips

worst- black licorice

weirdest- rocks and breastmilk :lmao:

Yeah, those are nasty!

How about Mary Jane candy? I've never tried it, but it looks disgusting enough in the wrapper. :crazy2:

Best: Recees and kit kat

Worst: Mary Janes and candy corn, oh and whoppers

Best - as a kid, full size candy bars. As an adult, jello shots!

Worst - peanut butter kisses, PAL bubble gum (it was always hard as a rock!)

Strange/weird - pennies, like 2!

I think that is the winner so far:rotfl:

That reminds me--my kids got something similar once. Little scrolls tied up in orange ribbon. We figured they would be coupons for treats somewhere--nope they were printed diatribes on the evils of Halloween with a prayer at the bottom and a not saying go's love was better than candy and the church service hours. Seriously, it is FINE if you do not like Halloween, but then do not participate in trick or treating, okay?

I'm pretty accepting of all forms of candy, but beware...if you hand out any of the following, you got egged by the neighborhood kids (and a few nutty adults):

Mary Janes (mom paid good money for my dental work.)
Popcorn balls
Pennies
Coupons
Fruit (not just egged...but maybe punched by a 4 year old too)
Raisins (yeah. great. Old dried up fruit.)
Whoppers (mm...malted. Blarf)
Black Licorice
Good and Plenty (No they are not good, but there always seemed to be plenty or them.)
Necco Wafers (mmm...candy chalk!)
Werthers (seriously, we are kids...not living in a retirement home!)
Burnt Peanuts
Circus Peanuts
Regular Peanuts (get the gist folks? No nuts!)
Off season candy (easter bunnies, jelly beans, andes christmas candy)
Anything that isn't candy

Best: Reese's cups, M and M's, Snickers
Worst: I think you guys have covered all the usual suspects, but I'm not sure I saw penny bubble gum, or Toottsie Rolls

Weirdest: religious tracts
