Halloween party

Perhaps this question has already been posed elsewhere on Disboards and I'm just not aware of it, but I'm seriously wondering whether the Halloween party will even BE held in DL this yr. Historically the party was always held over at DCA and moved to DL 2 yrs ago b/c of the construction.

Now that the construction has been completed and Carsland is a smash (not to mention DCA is bigger and can hold more guests which equals more money for Disney) will the 2012 Mickey's Halloween Party be held at DCA and NOT Disneyland??????

That's a really good question! I sure hope it's at DL this year. I'm only doing 2 day tickets & then the Halloween Party. We plan on getting in as soon as they will let us & use this time to do some rides. If they do it at DCA then I will have to totally change all my plans around.

But I think what the PP said is true. They will probably want to capitalize on the success of CL do I just don't see it happening at DCA. But that's just my wishful thinking

hmmm thats something to think about here...on one hand like Chrissie said, it will capitalize on the success of DCA in general... and MMomma said it can hold more guests....i guess though if you think about it...if you were a "suit" and knowing that DCA does hold more guests wouldnt you think it better to have the larger amount of people go to the bigger park while the party is going on? or sell more hard tix...good question Magic Momma

Awww, thanks. Well, I really have to give credit where credit is due and it was more my husband's good thinking. He's so smart.

I'm not saying a party at DCA wouldn't be fun but the only Halloween parties we've ever attended were the past 2 yrs at DL. It was the PERFECT setting. Doesn't get any better than that. It's amazing how quickly you begin feeling very... proprietary... about DL and I know I'd feel somewhat sad to hear the party was relocating back to DCA.

i wasn't all thrilled with the dca one we went to i think from what i've seen dl has had more good comments about it, also we saw the gay day saying dl park would be closed at 5pm for tue an fri in begging of oct for a ticketed event (guessing that party's ) if so it's big guess that dl park is where party will be this year

OK, IT'S OFFICIAL!! Dates and times for DLR's 2012 Halloween parties have been released. Tix go on sale to AP holders July 9th, to the public July 16th, AND the parties ARE at DISNEYLAND again this year!
