Just got back from WDW. We arrived Thursday for the first Halloween party. It was spooktacular!! We had so much fun. The witch that came flying out of the castle during the fireworks flew right over me and blew me a kiss. AWESOME!!! The headless horseman slider pin is definitely worth getting. If you're going to the party, you can find them at the Emporium store to the left as you enter main street. The cast members keep a stash under the counter. I don't understand all this talk about low attendence??? The parks were packed. We spent the whole day at MK on friday and it was very crowded. Be sure to pick up the food and wine pin at Epcot. (Oh yes, don't forget to try the cheese soup.) That is one of the most beautiful pins I've ever seen. :bounce: All the new parades are awesome - a must see. Disney did a fantastic job again. If you go to Disney Studios, be sure you see the Walt exhibit. It will make you proud to be a Disney fan.

I give the Halloween Party two thumbs up!:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Yea!!!!!

Sounds like this is a great party... Everyone who has gone seems to have had a blast. Thank you for the info.

King Triton,

You didn't tell the folks about the Headless Horseman Beanie at the Emporium... We had a great time too, and we're planning to go again next year!

We went to the party on the 18th as well. When we first arrived (6:45pm) it was pretty chaotic getting thru security and than getting the wrist bands, but once we got thru there it was clear sailing.

When we first got there, the line for the Headless Horseman Slider was out the door of the Emporium. I told my sister, that I wasn't going to wait (not fair to kids and my hubby) so I just gave up on getting it. Well around 9:30pm we were in Tomorrowland and my son wanted to go shopping while my husband rode Alien. So we just walked over to Star Traders and lo and behold there were the pins in two clear buckets sitting on the counter. I was able to pick up six of them (2 for me, 2 for Jacob and 2 for Jordan). I am so glad that I didn't stand in that line. My dad said the same thing happened at the Christmas party.

My two kids and my nephew were asked to be in the 10:30 parade. Well my daughter fell asleep and my son didn't want to do it (not crazy about characters) but my 9 year old nephew Andy did it. He got to ride on the hay ride float with Donald and Daisy. Afterwards, they gave him this great certificate. My sister is framing it. All 3 kids and my husband were in a little costume parade in Frontierland.

And there were plenty of trick or treating stations (around 12). We enjoyed this party much more than MVMCP, simply because we weren't freezing to death. We all dressed up and didn't have to wear any jackets.

Definitely going back same time next year. We actually decided not to go until next fall so we could stay longer and stay at the Beach Club. We want to be closer to the Food and Wine Festival. That was also great, but the lines were VERY LONG.

Kris
