Halloween party sell out?

We would like to go to the Halloween party in late September/early October. I would ideally like to buy tickets as close as possible to the date to check the weather forecast (prefer not to go if stormy). How often do those early parties sell out? How late do you think I could wait to buy tickets? TIA!
