So if I am in the park on the day of the party, and I dont have a party ticket, can I hang out and watch the fireworks still, or do they have a good system of determining that you cant be there any longer?

I know I wont be able to ride rides or do any activities. I am just curious as to what they process is for them actually knowing whether or not I should be allowed in the park at that time.

They will check wristbands. From what I remember last year, after the start of the party they will limit access to every area of the park and have CM checking bands. I havent been around for the start of fireworks but I am pretty certain that they will have a system in place to check.

Guests with valid MHP tickets will be wearing a wristband. CMs form check points throughout the park and guests without wristbands are not allowed to continue deeper into the park. You will be asked to head to Main Street and then out of the park. They will also check wristbands along the parade route, in the fireworks crowds, and at many locations throughout the night. If you do not have a wristband (i.e., a valid party ticket), please exit the park when it closes to non-MHP guests.

I think we were given wristbands we had to put on last year as AP holders who bought the tickets for the Halloween Party.

Hope that helps!

:)

When you pay good money for a Halloween ticket, you don't want to be rallying for a good viewing spot of the Fireworks with people who haven't paid.

If you spend the whole night dodging CMs you may be 'able' to stay, but I'm sure in asking the question you knew that you are not 'supposed' to stay. Please exit the park like all other non-attendees.

I tend to be a rule bender on some things ;) But I have to agree with this. It's really not fair to the people who shell out the money for the party ticket to try and stick around. Not aiming this at the OP, it's not a totally unreasonable question and I could see a scenario where DLP might allow for this (to get extra dollars on main street if nothing else, heh) but yeah, roll over to DCA and have fun over there! :)

EDIT: as an aside, the view of the fireworks from the esplanade isn't bad honestly. I once tried to hop back in to DLP from DCA to watch the show and the lines to get back in were so long I (and a bunch of others) just gave up and watched the show from the middle. Something to consider if you really want to see it. I'm certain you wouldn't be alone.

The CM wristband sweep is getting more thorough each year. (Good for them!) Last year we saw check points at the entry to most rides, treat trails, general public areas (e.g. Frontierland, entering NOS, etc.), M&G lines, and even at the entrance to some restrooms). The CMs have flashlights and ask you to show your wristband as you walk by them. If you do not have a wristband, then you will be escorted out of the park. We saw security escorting groups of people to the exits for the first hour or two of the party.
