Halloween Party Pins

I am not sure who Bueller is...:confused3

According to the Disney Parks Blog post, the MHP merchandise, including pins, should be available at Disney Showcase, Emporium, Pieces of Eight, Pioneer Mercantile and The Star Trader.

It's a reference to Ferris Bueller's Day Off (a John Hughes movie starring Matthew Broderick). In the movie a teacher (played by Ben Stein) says, in a redundant, slow, nasal monotone, "Bueller? Bueller? Bueller?" (Because Ferris is out gallivanting around, or he is at home in bed -- can't recall which -- and not in class.)

I saw this thread earlier, but when I don't have time to reply to extra threads I will bookmark them, subscribe to them and then go directly to the Halloween Time at DLR Superthread (where the pin question also could have been asked and answered) or Disneyland at Christmas/Holiday Season Superthread instead.

Be prepared to look around for the pins. Almost every year we've gone to MHP, the pins have been in different places and CMs have not been up to date on the Parks Blog info. Last year was a big improvement -- the CMs were willing to phone ahead for us to check on stock and availability so we didn't have to wander all over in vain.

How funny! I collect pins and I didn't have trouble finding them last year (or the year before). I remember seeing them in Pieces of Eight (actually, I think it was the Jack Skellington store) and at the Showcase on the spinning rack by the cash register. I honestly thought I also saw them at the main pin shops (Frontierland and Tomorrowland).

For the general Halloween pins, we've never had a problem either. But for the MHP specific pins, especially the AP exclusive pins, we always find clueless CMs who've never heard of them or don't know where the pins are located. Two years ago we actually went back to the same cash register 3 times during one party, encountered 3 different CMs, and only the 3rd CM knew what we were talking about and found the pins. The pins were in a drawer under the register, but the 2 previous CMs told us that there were no such pins and there never had been. Go figure. Last year, we got a new CM who had never heard of the exclusive pins, but a lead overheard our conversation and she found what we wanted (and taught the new guy the ropes in the process).
