We are going to the mnsshp the end of Sept. I have been trying to find some costumes that would be cool I know it will be hot. Looking for maybe some t-shirt ideas that resemble costumes. I have looked on etsy but I have not found anything. Anyone have any ideas.

Had the same problem so we came up with Donald and the nephews. My brother will be Donald - we just made a costume out of a tshirt, white shorts and spray painted an old pair of running shoes yellow. My mom, daughter, and I are the nephews. We bought green, red, and blue polos, coordinating baseball hats, and again spray painted old shoes. I had the nephew names embroidered on our shirts.
We went to the MNSSHP last September and I could not believe how many people were in full costumes!! It was so hot. There is no way I wanted to do that.
I found a lot of other ideas on Disneybound.

i'm going as Megara from Hercules. I've bought a lilac dress and i've bought a bit of dark purple satin material from EBay for the sash and i've got some brown gladiator style sandals.

with my hair, im going to tie it back in a high ponytale and curl the end. Job done. when i put it all together, i will post a pic of the finished costume.

Last Year the Husband and I were Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head. They were stickers on a tshirt. Easy to transport and cute. My brother and his wife did tshirt costumes as well and they were Mr. and Mrs. Incredible.!

My boyfriend and I are going as Woody and Jessie. I ordered the shirts on amazon! We'll both just do jean shorts (he'll probably wear navy). I also ordered cow print knee high socks (kind of like how she has the cow print on her jeans... Too hot for that!) and the authentic Jessie hat for myself. He won't wear a cowboy hat haha. I'm lucky I got him in the t shirt! All are from amazon and the shirts were $20 each.

There is a MNSSHP costume thread by Horse11 that has ADORABLE t-shirts (about page 10?) that a family made to be the monorails! White t-shirts, each had a different color stripe across the bottom (and a silver stripe) and on the back they had the monorail saying about keeping your hands away from the doors.

They were very neat!

A great place for ideas is Pinterest. They show how to make the Incredible t-shirts using a plain t-shirt and felt. I am making DD and I tutu costumes...got the idea from there. We are wearing tank tops, tutus, and lightweight leggings.

I am sort of cheating...I have a tee shirt that says "This is my costume. I am a witch." That, plus a witch hat and make up is it for me. The boys are all going to be pirates...tattered shirts and pants.

I pretty much choose my costume and then alter it so it fits the weather. Like this year hte costume I plan to do would usually involve a heavy heavy velet tattered dress, BUT a lace overlay gives the tattered look and is WAY cooler.
