We are leaving on the Dream 10-28 through 10-31. From what I understand, last year, the costume night and the pirate party were on the same night. Does anyone know if it's the same this year? I heard rumors that they MIGHT be on different nights this year, but no confirmation. Wondering if i need to pack our Halloween costume AND a pirate costume. Thanks!

3 night cruise? Yes, they are the same day/night. However, the Halloween activities for kids are early in the after noon and late at night for the adults. The Pirate party is just before the late night Halloween stuff.

You can check previous Navigators here to see how the activities were arranged:

Yes, what above poster said...we just got back from the first HOHH cruise on the Dream...they are on the same night. There are so many activities going on it's hard to get to all of them. We had an amazing time, but next cruise will have to be a longer cruise....the experience on DCL is just amazing and need more of it!!!

Did you think more people were dressed for Halloween or for Pirate night? And did you have a dressier night, or just two casual nights plus the Halloween/Pirate night? Starting to think about packing and shopping...

TIA

I saw more people were dressed as pirates. People seem to be more dressed up on the last night but it wasn't an official formal night.

Yes, all events are on the same day but if you are just on the cruise to take in the parties and fun there is MORE than enough time to change for them all as the afternoon holds the Halloween stuff and the early evening holds the pirate party and then the adult stuff is at night. We already find there is barely enough time to do it all, so we just dress in one costume for the whole day.

As far as formal night, it's pretty casual as in church dressy on the shorter cruises. Most people were just in their cruisewear. My daughter and I do sundresses with strappy sandals and the boys all do khaki shorts and polos.

We are on the same cruise!! 10/28 3-night on the Dream (We have a cruise meet thread here too!)
It's our very first cruise, so I'm new to all this. I have also been trying to find 3 night HOTHS Navigators for the Dream and to figure out what we should bring in terms of pirate and/or Halloween attire, as we need to pack for a 9 day combined land & sea trip and I tend to overpack as it is! I think I'll just do piratey for myself, and let the boys choose between pirates or other, unless we come up with very small & light costumes.
