Just got an email from DCL to bring my costume and it also described different Halloween things that will be happening aboard our sailing. With us setting sail on Halloween will the whole cruise have Halloween items/themes or will we only have festivites on 10/31? Thanks

There will be Halloween items such as pumpkins and a tree there so the ship is dressed up but the main activity on the night itself.

I was just going to post this same question, we embark Sept 7th and from the email this is the start of the festivites.
Does anyone know if everyone dresses up each night or just one themed night?
we are on the dream, 4 night sailing.

thanks!

That is what I thought too until I read this paragraph from DCL

Though not required, we encourage Guests of all ages to bring along their costumes and join in our Halloween celebration. From spellbinding stories, fun-filled family entertainment and yummy treats, we’ve tried to think of everything to make these voyages special. While there will be themed activities throughout the cruise, on one evening, children will receive trick-or-treat bags in their staterooms that they can bring along to a special party to collect candy treats. On this same evening, prizes will be awarded to our adult costume contest participants based on the following categories:

We were on the Dream sailing last year that departed on Oct. 31. When we arrived at PC, at check in we were handed a small paper that said that the Halloween celebration would take place on Nov. 1. A lot of people were already dressed up as they boarded the ship. They had all of the decorations, but the evening Halloween party and trick or treating took place the next day. When I asked why, they said that the first day is just to busy with all of the guest getting on board and used to the ship, that they try and no do these type of things on the first day to let everyone get settled in. With that being said, a lot of kids and parents were still dressed up at dinner on day 1, Oct. 31. Enjoy your cruise.

We sailed a Halowen Cruise a few years ago. It had a lot of fun little extras. The adult costume contest on our cruise was excellent. Just remember not to expect too much, it's just added fun and you won't be disappoinated.

People have posted not enjoyng it because they felt there would be Trick or Treating or a big party. There are just too many people (4000 on the Fantasy).

Different themes on different nights. They'll still have Pirate Night and Formal Night in addition to the Halloween activities.

We were on the 3-night last year that departed on 10-31. They followed the schedule from all the prior sailings for Halloween on the High Seas activities regardless of the date of the 31st. People (adults and kids) were in costume the whole time. We didn't do a lot of the Halloween stuff because there was so much else to do, but it was still a fun perk on the ship

We were also on the 10/31 Dream last year and our FB group had put together a trick or treat from cabin to cabin that took place on Halloween. Thank goodness for that because everyone complained about Disney's trick or treating on the 1st. We didn't even bother since the atrium was so crowded and it was confusing. I'm glad our group had put together the cabin to cabin trick or treat. My kids got so much stuff and got to trick or treat (while it was snowing back home.. haha).

I hope that I can find a group that does this on the Fantasy for the 31st
