We are on that same cruise! Dream departing 10/31. Our first ever and looking forward to it! Our kiddos have costumes ready to go (2 and 5) as well as pirate garb for all of us that night.

Just off the 9/24 to 10/1 EC cruise.

Do:
Take lots of pictures because the costumes are great.
Wear your costume to dinner on Halloween night.
Do as many character meet photos as possible. The characters look good, but lines can be long though they move fast.
If you can stay awake, go to and/or participate in the adult contest.

Don't:
Wear anything hot or flimsy enough to blow apart in the wind or be in a crowd.

We were on a Halloween Eastern Caribbean cruise last year. We had formal night Sunday, Halloween party Monday, and Pirate night Tuesday. It felt so strange to wear "regular" clothes to dinner on Wednesday!

The most important thing is if you have kids BRING a costume and a Disney one or you will be buying one in the gift store.

We went over Halloween two years ago, we brought costumes had a great time. Its all what you make it
