Has anyone ever been to it???? What can I expect? Are the rides open ?? Could someone please could me some info, so I can plan. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

It's going to be at IOA this year.

HHN is a separately ticketed event, and discounted tickets are available through various promotions. Most of the rides are open. All Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays are HHN nights, plus they do add HHN nights as the month goes on. There are haunted houses added, plus there are people trying to scare you in every section of the park. It can make you feel :scared1:, :hyper: , and/or:crazy: .

You'll see lots of threads in the coming months.
Best advice is to visit on a weekday, Wednesday or Thursday are good. Crowds are light during the day. Stay in the park at the Stay and Scream area with your ticket in hand, then you get a head start on the crowd. Yes, the rides are open.

What day do you guys think would be better- Friday, October 15th (school holiday in Florida) or Sunday, October 17th? DH and I want to spend the day at Universal Studios then head over to IOA for a few rides before the HHN party. We were all set for Friday and then found out it is a school holiday.

They don't allow anyone under 21 at US Halloween Party do they?? I read that somewhere, if true I guess it wouldnt matter too much what night except I would think Sunday would be better due to some people might have to work the next day so less likely to be out Sunday night then Friday night.

Sunday is the better choice. Everyone usually goes out on a Friday night, it's date night. And with school out, that just adds to it.

Thanks guys Sunday it is! I think the Sunday night HHN's are 2 hours shorter too (till 12am) so that would mean more crowds on Friday. We probably won't last till 2am so we will shoot for Sunday the 17th.

They do allow kids in, but not too young. They sell shots of something as you walk thru Margaritaville area to get back to the rides. Most of the rides are open. They also have fog machines running and employees dressed up really GOOD! They don't jump out at you or touch you, they just walk right up to you quickly out of the fog. There were alot of young people there the night we went - lots of girls screaming and giggling. It is startling but fun! There are a couple of haunted houses. I didn't go in those but my kids did (ages 12 & 15).

The only thing I was disappointed in was the ticket prices of the Halloween Nights. They were promoting a special ticket price on-line but the tickets were much cheaper when we got there! Once you get inside the park, you can purchase the tickets for the night you want to attend.

The time passed very quickly while we were there. There were so many people and at times it could be hard to see for the fog that it took us quite awhile to work our way around the whole park. We were there until closing, even though we did not intend to be!

Security was tighter during the Halloween Night than during the day. I took a backpack (instead of purse) with a bottle of water and they made me practically empty the backpack for inspection and I was asked to throw the water out by emptying the bottle into a garbage can (they watched me pour it out). I didn't mind, as they were nice about it, but be prepared.
