Halloween in orlando?

Me and my family are going to be in orlando on oct. 31 and we are wondering what goes on? Do people trick or treat at windsor hills? Does disney have events other then mnsshp? Travelling with two kids ages 7 and 11.

We were at WH for Halloween 2013. They held a pool side party in the afternoon but I'm not sure if any trick or treating went on later in the day.

We drove to Celebration that night and I have never seen so many people trick or treating. Everyone was dressed up and they were queuing in cars from the 192 right into the town to get in. So go early if you fancy it.

Next we went to WDW campground and this was so much fun. Most of the RVs were decorated as were the golf carts, owners were sat outside with their candy to hand out and everyone was having a good time. There was a really good atmosphere and my DD loved it. Be prepared to do a lot of walking. I would definitely go again

We also went to a MNSSHP the next night and had a good time there

I agree Celebration and WDW Campground are the best free Halloween locations.

Just to let you know 2 years ago Celebration was closed to residents only on Halloween, they closed off the entrances and you had to show your resident I'd or parking pass to get in after 4:00. This year it was open again, but a horrible mess, so they are talking about closing it off again. Just an FYI.

I can see why they would close it off, some of the houses must have been mobbed with all the people pouring in and walking round. A trolley full of candy wouldn't last long!

We passed out over 800 pieces of candy last year in 2 hours and had to turn the lights out by 7:00, it was nuts! People were still out trying to trick or treat till after 10:30. The cars were so bad, it was like a parking lot in the streets.
