I'm wondering if anyone can give me any advice on Halloween. We're going to be in Orlando (staying at the Swan) from Oct 30 to Nov 3, and so we're going to be missing Halloween at home. (For perspective, Halloween is such a big deal in our little Victorian town that they literally change all the town signs to say "Monsterville" for the month of October.) Anyway, while we love Halloween, this isn't a huge deal for me, husband, or our 16 year old. However, our 11 year old daughter is a little bit sad to be missing out. Other than the Boo Bash, which I'm not thrilled to pay for, what other options do we have in the area, especially ones that could allow our daughter to wear a costume? Candy is a benefit, but we can always buy candy. It's really the costume thing that she's going to miss. We won't have a car but are fine to take an Uber somewhere, even outside of the Disney bubble.

Gaylord Resort knows how to “ Holiday”...
I Easter,Halloween & Christmas at Gaylord.... I guess having nearby WDW makes the local attractions “compete”... You do not have to be a hotel guest , just a parking fee.
Also Celebration Town Square has a party and locals pack the neighborhood festival.

Can this be moved to trip planning forum?

Note to OP .... would love to research more ideas for your trip if you can delete thread and start new one in trip planning... plus it would get more responses .Halloween and holidays are month+ long events. Lots of ideas
