Never been before but thinking about it for this year. Can somebody tell me:
1. When the tickets go on sale?
2. What hours do the Nights run for?
3. Do you need regular park admission as well as tickets for the event?
Many thanks.

1. When the tickets go on sale?
Usually around mid-July

2. What hours do the Nights run for?
Off peak nights run until midnight, peak nights (Fri/Sat) to 2:00 am

3. Do you need regular park admission as well as tickets for the event?

No your HHN ticket is your admission

Thanks for the replies. Can you tell me what time the HHN starts, or is it all day? If so,ee is there no regular admission that day? Also, what price were tickets last year?

HHN is a hard ticket event.

the park closes at 5 and hhn begins at 6:30 to the general public.
those in stay and scream will be allowed to start the houses once security gives the all clear that the day guests have left.

prices change each year on the hhn tix and epp.

saturday is the most expensive day for hhn for the tixs.

Also, what price were tickets last year?

I only have the passholder prices from last year:

They were running a passholder special during the first three weekends (Friday and Saturday) of $29.99 + tax. Then:

Sunday - Thursday was $29.99
Friday - $44.99
Saturday - $59.99 (all plus tax of course)

The general public tickets are pretty expensive not to mention the Express passes for everyone...no discounts are given on the Express passes.

Fridays and Saturdays are Peak Nights. Sundays are considered off-peak, but are usually just as busy as peak nights!

If you are staying on-site does your on-site Express Pass cover HHN or do you need to buy a separate HHN Express Pass?

Since HHN is a separate event, the hotel benefits do not cover HHN. You would need to purchase a separate Express Pass for HHN.

You have to buy the hhn ticket and the hhn express pass plus ticket for the hard ticket event.

the hhn ticket lets you into the event.
the epp allows you in the express line only once per house and a few rides and shows.

people that stay onsite only get the ep perk during regular park hours.

if you have the day ticket to the parks, you can then buy the stay and scream ticket for hhn.

the S & S ticket is the discounted hhn ticket.
you have to prove you have the day park ticket/pass before you are entitled to buy that S & S one.

it also allows you to stay in the park at a designated holding area when the parks close at 5:00.
you do not have to leave but can be in the park and wait until security gives the all clear signal.
then, those in the s & s area are free to do rides or get a head start jump on houses. 3 houses open early for this.

if you have the S & S ticket and do not want to wait the 1.5 hours in a holding area in the park, you can wait in the line by the entrance to enter at 6:30 when the park opens.

Plus the Express Pass for peak nights (Fri/Sat) is MUCH more expensive than non-peak nights. I believe last year it was something like $70 for a peak night and around $40 for non-peak nights.

Yup...they charged $69.99 for opening night and I got one...like an idiot! I won't do that again!

Hiya - Bit of a tip, you've probably got all your questions answered. We have done HHN 3 times, last time being 2006. I would highly avoid weekends, we bought the ticket to go as many times as we wanted to (can't remember name of it or cost now sorry!) we visited on the Sunday night and alot of the locals seemed to go on the weekend so it was mega busy. Then we visited again, i think it was a wednesday and it was much better. I just wish they would stop selling alcohol as they tell people to "drink up" before entering a house and therefore people "drink up" too quickly! have fun its an amazing, if not terrifying, night!!!!

That would be the Frequent Fear Pass and yes...lots of us locals go on Sundays because we buy the FF passes too. :thumbsup2
