Halloween Horror Nights meet, October 19!

Barry and all - thanks for organizing this meet. I have not been on the boards since my last visit to WDW in 2001 and have never been to a meet. How do you all recognize each other or is it instantly obvious?

I think it'll be obvious.

Look for a tall Asian man, a skinny dark-haired kid, a mustached guy with two kids, a seagull, and a man celebrating happy hour!

Maybe I should think of giving an obvious sign, like a hat or a big arrow. Well, you can also look for a tall Asian guy with DIS shirt on.

I'm not the most post-heavy brat around here, but I reckon I'll swing over and say howdy as well (assuming I can differentiate which seagull and giant Asian man are the correct ones).

I can't say I'll be there at four, but we definately want to get into the Oak before it gets too full (but...must....get more rides on Dueling Dragons in...cannot resist).

What is the story on Infestation anyways? Is this one of those things where you have to be one of the "lucky" folks selected? And most importantly, are pictures taken? I'd hate to not be able to prove to my coworkers that there were nasty things on my noggin (though I doubt any of them would be horribly surprised).

Infestation does shows with three people per show. If you are at the Enchanted Oak at 6:30 look for the person with the clipboard. They'll be requesting actor's for the Director's new film. Once in the chair you'll get goggles and a mask for your mouth and nose. The Director will then pick (they've added beetles and scorpions to the wheel since the press release). Some people get two rounds, some one. Audience members can take all the photos they want with flash.

I was checking out the photos for Infestation on IOACentral. They really put the bugs on your head? I saw a pic somewhere where you put your head in a plexiglass box, which had another box inside of it. You put your head inside the 2nd box, so there was a barrier between you and the bugs. But from the IOACentral photos it looks like your head goes directly in with the creatures, is that true? Whoa. Don't think I'll do that.
I heard someone say they give you a free Express Pass if you do it, is that true?
I might do it for a book of EPs and only if I had snakes, rats or roaches. No way I'm putting my head in with spiders or scorpions. No arachnids.
