Halloween Horror Nights Crowds in Hollywood?

My mom and I are interested in going to Halloween Horror Nights this year at Universal. We've always gone to Knotts but this year we want to try something new. Knotts always has crazy crowds during their Halloween event but we still like going. We're thinking about going on the weekend of either Oct. 4th or Oct. 11th and was wondering how the crowds are those weekends. We were wondering if the front of the line pass was worth it for this event. Any help would be great. Thanks
