Hello everyone.

Ok, I am pretty much new to the boards here. I just have a question. iI will be going to universal in oct 2005. My first time going to horror nights. So, I am anticipating the seconds till I go. I am confused, about tickets and pricing. I know it is a seperate event the horror nights. But, I have read from different posts that there are prices for stay and scream, and prices for if you just attend horror nights. Does anyone out there know the approxiamate amount the tickets are. Also, can i buy the horror night tix in advance. If so, when do they go on sale. I am trying to plan for every little thing. Thank you all muches, in advance :wave2:

First...lemme say that this is based on last year's HHN.

They have regular HHN only tix that are approximately $54.00. You can do a "Stay and Scream" upgrade for around $15.00 (you have to have already paid for a park ticket) and an AP rate of $44.00 for the evening. For the "Stay and Scream" upgrade, they keep you in a separate area and they usually let those folks in first. There is also a Frequent Fear Pass that is about the same price of a single entry ticket which is ONLY good on non-peak nights. With the AP discount last year, I got the FF Pass for $45.00. You can also get an EP Plus pass for $20 that allows you to have Express access to each attraction ONCE. It's the same basic idea as FOTL access. I think the EP Plus is definately worth it. The lines are incredible on the off-peak nights (Sunday and Thursday). The details for this year's event probably won't be released until sometime in August. You can purchase the tix in advance for the date you're going. If you decide to get the EP Plus too, that MUST be for a specific date.

That will give you a general idea of the ticket/pricing options for you.

The AP rate for HHN is approx $30 I believe.
Stay and Scream, you usually can get atleast 2-3 houses done before the rest of the crowd waiting for just HHN are allowed in. It's well worth it, esp. if you have AP. I believe the EP passes are anywhere from 20-35 (atleast they were 35 when I went) .. definitely a must-have if you don't go with Stay and Scream as there are normally 6-7 houses (or "rides") and I've seen some amazing wait times (worst house was about 170 minute wait time, and others were 200+ minutes) .. quite amazing.

Good luck, and what date do you intend to go?

Sorry i am new here, what is Stay and Scream? We are staying at PBH 10/23-27. I think HHN will only be open on 10/23 .I guess it will be very busy that night.
What is the best rate for HHN tickets? We did not choose stay and play because the aaa rate just for the room worked out cheaper. But i still need park tickets and HHN tickets. Please help!

Stay & Scream works in 2 ways:

(1) If you don't already have HHN tix, you can pay an upgrade fee and get tickets, if they're still available.

(2) Once you have tix, you go to the designated Stay & Scream area-normally a restaurant. There, you wait for an hour or so before some of the houses/rides are ready. Once they're ready, you can go to the open ones and get them done before the crowds come in.

How many tickets can I get with my AP discount? and can I get the tickets for my kids (big kids!) and can they use them if I don't go? I was planning to stay back at the hotel and babysit for them - if they can get in with AP discounted tickets without me, can they still upgrade them to include the express option without an AP? Since I'm treating 6 of them, it will help to save all that I can!

Believe it's 6 tickets max per AP and you just have to buy them with your AP, you don't have to be there for them to use the tickets. To include the express option, you wouldn't be upgrading them. Assuming you mean the Express Pass Plus, i believe it's anywhere from $20 to $35 ish .. and not too sure (don't think you do) about discounts on that with AP. It's more of an add-on, but I don't think you get discounts. You would probably have to buy those in advance too, as they sell out.
