We are currently staying on a campsite an hour north of Paris, Saturday to Saturday, and went to DLRP Tuesday and Wednesday, staying Tuesday night at the Davy Crocket Ranch using the 50% flash sale on the French site. In our party was me, dh, dd1 (age 9, 7th visit), dd2 (age 7, 5th visit) and ds (age 3 months, 1st visit!)
Highs:
Halloween! I've never been at this time if year, I loved all of the decorations and the parade- the Harvest Parade as my dds called it.
Baby switch- we used this on Buzz, Dumbo and Pinocchio. Was very helpful.
Davy Crocket- we were only in our accommodation from 9pm until 7.45am, so didn't see any of the ranch at all, but the lodge was very well-equipped and the shower was amazing!
It's a small world- still my favourite ride, and I was so happy to take ds on it for the first time
Casey Corner- really quick service.
Baby care room- so handy to be able to warm milk and have somewhere quiet to feed ds.
Stitch Live- still funny after so many watches!
Dd2 lost her cuddly toy in a shop and it was taken straight to City Hall- great service.
Disneyland Hotel perfume- I managed to buy some in the shop, let's hope my house smells as beautiful as the DLH lobby when I get home!
Lows:
Food. Now I know people moan that the food at DLRP is rubbish, but I've had some great meals here, and really enjoy planning our meals. So frankly, I was really disappointed. We ate at Planet Hollywood only because we had a Groupon and my salad was grim. Cafe Mickey- we were in there for over an hour and only met Minnie, Pluto and Goofy. In previous visits we have met Mickey, Chip and Dale and Captain Hook too. It felt like a raw deal... And I hate to say this... But my meal in Walts was awful :-( I had the hanger steak and the potatoes were stale and awful, the steak wasn't good... I will stress that everyone else ate well here, it was just my bad luck!
Toilets- I cannot believe the poor state of the toilets these days- the ones near the car park, Snow White's restaurant (can't remember the name...) are just two examples of toilets that smelt worse than those in a bus station. Come on Disney, this is unacceptable.
My ds has been poorly all week so only slept 2.5 hours the night before we arrived at Disney so I was like a zombie that first day! Also, because his routine was out of the window with being unwell, I spent a lot of time feeding and changing so didn't get to do half as much as I normally would! Thankfully, he appears to be getting better now
So those were my highs and lows. I'm already thinking about our next trip!
