Halloween Fantasy On The High Seas - Eastern October 24th 2015

Wow! Awesome Jen! Shall I add you to the list anyway or wait?

I know what you mean about not going on the DIS boards unless you have a trip planned. Boy did I miss being on here!

I hope you, Pete and Thomas can come along! pixiedust:

Pete, Jen, and Thomas (will be 12 when we sail)

So, we are officially booked and the deposit made! I would like to ask to join the FE group also, please. :thumbsup2

It seems like I have a lot to catch up on...last time I cruised DCL was on the Magic in 2009. I have a whole new ship to research and read up on!

I didn't think this posted, and now it posted twice. I'll take an FO instead! :)

Glad to hear it:yay:

Well, Shelly and Dave should be on here soon telling tales of the Alaskan DCL cruise and maybe sharing pics too!popcorn::

Geez wheres everyone been? I figured there'd be at least 10 pages to read while we were gone??

We had a great trip! Lots of memories! Now lets begin the countdown till the next cruise! :sail:

We had to transfer our ressie for this cruise so we could get the discount on the one we just took. So 1st thing we did onboard was rebook for next year and were happy to find out the cabin we wanted was still available!::yes::

I'm here! We will be booking in a little more than a month. Gotta love those on board bookings!

:scared:Gosh, when I first read this I thought you weren't going!
That you had transferred it to something else!
Glad I found out differently reading farther!:)

Missed you on here, but I'm glad to hear you had a great trip.
Saw lots of pics that Robin posted. I saw a lot of other cruising
friends just came off of Disney cruises also!

Tell Robin, 1 week to TWD countdown!

Tomorrow is my 50 day countdown till I turn 50:eek:

I'm doing something special for every day:goodvibes

We booked this while onboard the Southern Caribbean Magic a few weeks ago. We really wanted to be onboard around Halloween and also to finally get onboard the Fantasy. This will be our 15th cruise and after this we'll have been on all 4 ships! I'm Lori and I'll be traveling with my DH (Ralph). We are from the Boston area. We usually travel with our children but they will be away at college during this cruise.

Glad to meet everyone and also would like to join the FE group when it starts up.

50? Why you're a youngster compared to this old dawg!
Something special every day? Do tell?:rolleyes1:bitelip:popcorn::

:) One day I put inspiring notes on cars of people I didn't know, one day I "tried" not to complain all day:rotfl:, one day was a liquid diet day (I was good until 9:30pm), yesterday was "Handbag Day" ..... a real holiday on a page I found online listing holidays every day, so I had to go buy a new handbag!:thumbsup2. Today is walk through a graveyard day, it was supposed to be at night to be brave through, but I thought I could get in trouble so I decided to do it in the daylight and I picked today as it's my deceased grandmother's birthday! Visiting and exercise!
Tomorrow is no electronics day:crazy2: Unless I get an important phone call and of course it ends when the premiere of "The Walking Dead" comes on TV!:rotfl2::happytv:

I have other days planned of low calorie days, thankful texts to friends day,
message in a bottle day, flowers to work friends day and for the first time ever I've planned a donate blood day (scary!).

I'm also "trying" everyday to drink at least one more bottle of water (of which I never drink any anyway), exercise at least one video a day, walk 10,000 steps a day and whiten my teeth everyday:goodvibes

Not all working out as planned but I'm doing pretty good!

Some fun days coming up, holidays I found on that holiday webpage:

October 29th is Cat Day and Internet day! Sounds like an awesome day!

October 30th is Create a Great Funeral Day and also Checklist Day.

November 2nd is Zero Tasking Day, I think it was also Deviled Egg Day.

November 17th is Unfriend Day.... time to weed through all those Misc FB'ers, but I think I've got mine pretty cleaned up. It's also Take a Hike Day.

Novemeber 20th is Peanut Butter Fudge Day, so I'll make some and bring it in to work:thumbsup2

Welcome Lori!
Wow, you're quite the DCL expert by now huh?!:thumbsup2

My son recently (just over 1 year ago) graduated from college here in NY, got a job offer and moved just outside of Boston. He's in Framingham, as it's so much cheaper than Boston and he actually works in Waltham.
Are you guys near there anywhere?

Hi Rose! :wave2:

yes, we love DCL! We haven't been on the Fantasy though and our Dream cruise was only 4 days. So, we're excited to explore the bigger ship. It's also been a very long time since we've been able to go to Castaway Cay. Our cruise on the Dream wasn't able to stop there because of high winds and it seems that we've been choosing itineraries the past number of years that don't stop there (Galveston, Southern Caribbean, Nova Scotia, Alaska). So, we're pumped to get back to Disney's Island. :goodvibes

Yes, are are pretty close to Waltham. We are in Reading, MA. I work in Burlington. The Rt 95 belt is a very popular place to work. Is your son an engineer?

I'm glad that you'll be getting to get back to Castaway Cay this next time then. We love it!:beach:

You are lucky DCL travelers! MY BF loves traveling but Disney is not really his thing. He'd rather be hiking, camping anything outdoors so he's at least happy when we go to Castaway Cay:goodvibes

My son is a computer engineer. He loves it. He would rather have been building though but discovered too late that he should have become an electrical engineer to do that. He's always building or tweaking computers and has been since he was a young teen. I'm glad to have a child who actually is doing something he loves doing. So many of us are not. That includes me. Oh, well.
It's great to be able to guide our children anyhow to something that suits them. How about your's? You said you have children in college?

Rose
