Halloween Fantasy On The High Seas - Eastern October 24th 2015

Hi! My family and I hope to be sailing on this cruise in celebration of my 40th birthday on October 25th. We have a 3 night on the Dream in January, and will book this cruise while on the ship.

Sailing will be myself, my DH Troy, my DS (13.5 at the time of this cruise) and my DD (7.5 at the time of this cruise).

Can't wait!

Welcome!

Geez, you'll be celebrating your 40th birthday and we'll be celebrating our 40th anniversary on this cruise.:wizard: now I feel really old. :rolleyes1

I am trying to catch up with all the DIS Unplugged podcasts I've missed since
I've gotten an office job and so cannot wear headphones all day as in previous positions, and I'm dreaming of next year's vacation. I haven't been to the World in so long and want to do so much more than my budget will probably allow.

Anyway, I'm thinking of doing that backstage magic tour. Has anyone done this? And if so what did you think?

How about Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios compared with MNSSHP?

Lastly, anyone here go to the Food and Wine at Epcot? If so, how much did you spend going around the world in just one day?

Thanks for any advice.:goodvibes

Sorry can't help you Rose. We've done Disney Halloween party lots of times but never the Universal one. As far as Food & Wine at Epcot, we've been there tons of times during that period you you know me and food.. Nothing fancy!!

We used to go to a Universal one day on every trip to WDW, but when disney started doing that Magical Express we just preferred to stay on Disney property and not drive into Orlando. Never read any of the Potter books or saw any of the movies so don't really care about the Potter stuff going on there. ( but that's just us)

Hi all. We just booked this cruise, our first ever Disney cruise. We have sailed on 7 Royal Caribbean cruises, but have always wanted to try DCL. In 2012 we sailed on Freedom of the Seas, and while docked at PC, we were opposite the Disney Dream. It looked so cool, and we decided then that we wanted to try DCL. (We are also big Disney fans) Finally took the plunge and booked Fantasy!!! Travelling is me, my DW, DD 4 and DS 2. My parents will also be joining us. We will be travelling all the way from Australia, and will head to WDW after the cruise. Can't wait. Haven't had time to read back over all the previous posts yet, but I'm looking forward to hearing any tips you more experienced Disney cruisers may have.

Welcome! I'm Rose and I've added you to our first page of who's sailing.

I didn't catch your name though, I got it as DW for now.

Your kids are at a nice age for cruising. You'll have lots of time with just DH, I'm sure. :goodvibes

Yeah, but you lucky ducks are getting to retire down to FL after this cruise too!

I was feeling old for turning 50 this year:scared:

Hi all! Welcome from the US!
Silly me, being the whole welcoming committee for the country;):rotfl:

Seasoned cruisers you all are! Did you take your children on all those too?
I LOVE DCL! But then I also love anything Disney, so if you do too, you'll love the cruiseline. ::yes:: So will your kids:)

I've added you to our who's sailing on the main page, but can I add your names please?

Ever done any behind the scenes Disney tours Mike?

I heard on the DIS Unplugged podcast that Universal now has some kind of transportation system that will take people from Disney resorts over to theirs.
I do love Harry Potter stuff and since I've already done MNSSHP, I might just want the scary stuff over at Universal. But we'll see. The last time Bob and I went to haunted houses around here during Halloween, I got so scared I started having heart palpatations and wasn't breathing well either, and so made Bob go into the 5th final attraction alone:rotfl: But I do love scary stuff anyway:rolleyes1

Robin likes scary stuff too. That's why she married a troll like me.:crazy2:

And no, we never did any of those tours. But I've heard good things.

Welcome to the group!:beach:

Make sure you go back and read all 18 pages because there will be a test!!:rotfl::upsidedow

Congrats!!! :dance3:
As today's winner you'll receive a free Disney cruise for you and your family. :grouphug:

Simply go ahead and book it, then send the bill to Rose!
(She's loaded you know);)

See if only more people would check in here they'd see we're giving away free cruises. :sail:

Wait! What?!

mickeyd has sailed on many RC cruises already and from far, far away!
I'm sure he doesn't need me to pay for his cruise, I was going to ask him to adopt me into his family and take me for free:rotfl:

But, you know Mikey, perhaps we could lead more folks here by false advertising. :joker:

She watches The Walking Dead too, doesn't she? And The Following, The Killing and American Horror Story?

You're not a troll, you're Underdog!

Hi Rose. I think Rachel & I booked the wrong dates for our next cruise. We are on the Fantasy the week before you. Our cruise thread is not very active. :( Maybe it will pick up once we get closer.

Hi Tammy,:wave2:
This isn't all that active either, but Mikey and I are trying to keep it going and hoping that others will stay too:grouphug:
Maybe mickey78 will become a regular on here like us:)

As I've stated before, FB is really killing the cruise meet boards:headache:
Not that I have anything against FB, because I'm on there everyday.
