I found some Halloween events in or around WDW area for anyone visiting in that timeframe. Feel free to add others.

Phobia
This year at Cypress Gardens you are challenged to face your fears at this fearsome family fun event that runs through the month of October, Thursday through Sunday.

Zoo Boo Bash Visit the haunted swamp of the Central Florida Zoo. It’s safe, fun and a not-too-scary way for guests to enjoy this ghoulish celebration. Learn about the myths and realities of “spooky” creatures like bats and spiders. Call 407-323-4450 for dates and times.

Deland Historic Ghost Walk - West Volusia Historical Society ,
Tours every 15 minutes, beginning at 7:00 until 11:00 on Oct. 27 and 28, 2006 from the DeLand House Museum. Call 386-740-6813 for more information.

Of course these are in addition to the already great MNSSHP and HHN. I guess Seaworld also has Shamu's Halloween Spooktacular too.

We've been to Disney Marketplace a few times at Halloween. They always have trick or treating in all the stores and special activities for the kids, like costume contests.

Sea World usually has activities a couple of weekends that are fun.
