I'll be making my first trip to DL later this year and I know they've got a special "after-hours" Disney party for Halloween much like the MNSSHP at Magic Kingdom. Have they released the dates and ticket prices for this event yet?

Is it only for DL or is DCA a part of it as well? What are the hours normally for it?

Mickey's Trick or Treat Party is only at DCA - not at DL. It runs through October (I think last year the first party was on Oct 3). It was held on Thurs-Sat evenings and the hours were either 6:30-10:30 or 7:30-11:30 p.m. I don't think the dates have been released yet for this year.

All 3 of the DL hotels are listed as host hotels for the convention I'm attending. I've looked at all 3 online, but since I'm sure some of you have stayed there, you could give me a little insight into each one.

I'll be in town for business, but will have a day to visit DL and if they're having a Trick or Treat Party date while I'm there, I'll definitely do that and visit DCA.

I went 2 years ago. Some key tips:

- Adults and kids can wear costumes (athough there are so restrictions regarding masks and capes). Full costume guidelines are part of the event info once Disney publishes it.

- A lot of the attractioins at DCA are running.

- There are lots of characters wearing their Halloween costumes. You can have pictures taken with them.

- There are trick or treat stations throughout DCA. You are giving a trick or treat bag upon entering the event for your goodies. You can walk away at the end of the night with more candy that you can possibly imagine!

- Some of the trick or treat stations also have apples and / or carrots if you ask.

- The event requires a special (add'l) ticket and it does sell out.

- Adults (or even kids over age - hmm, was it 12?) cannot where costumes into DL... even on Halloween.

Good point about the costumes. Yes, if you are planning on going to DL before or after the party at DCA, you won't be able to wear your costume there. If you have an "adult" ticket....age 10 and up, then you can't wear a costume into DLR. (Only ages 9 and under can wear a costume into DL at any time, including Halloween time). And, the party does require a separate ticket sold only for that event (You don't need a regular ticket for DCA.....just the party ticket for that night). :-)

I'll be coming straight from a convention if I get to go to the Trick or Treat Party so I will be wearing business casual clothes. I guess I could be dressed up as a business man:rotfl:

My costume for one night last year as a Pin Trader because I came over for the event straight from DLR. ;)
