Hi everyone. Its been awhile since Ive been here as you can see by my expired countdown ( how do I get that one off and get my new ones on?? hehe) I have re-addicted myself with planning yet another Disney trip that wasnt originally going to happen. I was there in Jan. 02, then early Dec 02, and again in Jan 03. I was trying to stay away until Jan 04, but I just KNEW that wouldnt happen!! haha I saw the post about the MNSSHP and took a peek at it and.... I WANT TO GO!!! I absolutely love fall and halloween and I think it would be a great time to go. My question is... do they decorate the parks for halloween and fall? Or will we only get to see halloween decorations during the halloween party?? And, if they DO decorate for Halloween, when do the decorations go up? We are definately going in October, and Im leaning more towards the beginning of the month. But, if they decorate, and not until nearer halloween, then that may sway my decision on when to come. Any info on Halloween/Fall decorations? Thanks in advance!

I'd be interested in knowing the answer to this question too. If the decorations don't stay up for the whole month of October, how could they possibly decorate the park for every night that they have a MNSSHP? They only close the MK for about an hour to get ready for the party, right?

There will be a few things out during the month. The little park at the beginning of Main Street has had over sized goodie bags, corn stalks, pumpkins, bales of straw and an abundance of gorgeous mums. But there are "special" decorations put out only during MNSSHP nights. Most of these are huge inflatable villlians, spiders and jack o latterns throughout the MK.Also eerie lightening plays a big part in the Halloween decorating particularly on Main Street and Cinderella's Castle.I had noticed several years ago( not the last few though) that when entering Main Street I swear we could smell burning leaves!

The other parks don't have any sort of Halloween decorations but beautiful floral displays of mums and fall type flowers. In the past the American Adventure pavillion in EPCOT had a nice picture spot with scarecrows, giant pumpkins, straw bales and mums.
