If you aren't going to MNSSHP are there any other events going on on Halloween day? Which park do you recommend going to on Halloween day to get the best experience (not worrying so much about rides or wait times).

Thanks :)

MK has the party that night, otherwise it'll be like any other day at all parks.

Each resort celebrates Halloween, so if you want a themed experience, head back to your resort by 4:00. Here are some character photos I've taken over the last couple of years: Halloween - WDW Resorts

Ft. Wilderness is a lot of fun on Halloween! Trick or treating around the loops is great!

Do you have to be staying at Fort Wilderness to trick-or-treat? We are staying at BLT

Are you a DVC member? They are doing two members only Halloween Parties at the Contemporary, the party from 2-4pm sold out super fast but there is a party from 7-9pm that we were able to get tickets for (not sure if it is also sold out already). It was $15 per ticket and will have some desserts and drinks, characters, face painting, dance party etc.
We are staying at BLT as well so we plan to go to the Top of the World lounge after the party for the 10pm fireworks.

Yes, we own BLT. This sounds perfect! Where do you get tickets at--because I never heard of this??? Is this kid-friendly?

Nevermind....just found it, and it looks like its sold-out for the evening party. So back to the original question---can anyone trick-or-treat at the Campground? Might buy HDDR tickets, and this would make a good night if he can trick-or-treat there too.

It was in the Members News section of the website. Call member services - I really hope you can get in! It looks totally kid friendly. Here is what it says on the website:

We're planning to enjoy the resort activities. I have a dinner reservation at the resort and then we'll enjoy the activities, maybe watch the movie and crash early, since our MNSSHP is the next day and it will be a long day!

Anyone can trick-or-treat at Ft. Wilderness. It's a lot of fun. Just keep in mind that the candy comes from other guests (they register to be allowed to hand it out) - not from Disney.

If we weren't going to MNSSHP, that's where we'd be! Have a great time.

Yes, we stayed at BLT last year and had no trouble at Ft. Wilderness. The golf cart parade is really cool, they have characters around, and then trick or treating!

Thank you!!! We may actually buy tickets for HDDR 6:30 show, then trick-or-treat afterwards.

We did Mickey's Backyard BBQ last year and it was great! Characters in costume, surprise visit by Phineas and Ferb and got out just before trick or treat time at 7!
