Hi, I called AoA and got their 10/31 activity guide. there is 12pm creepy crawly crafts, 1-2 trivia and other games, 3pm cookie design, and 4-7 is Big Blue party, 8:30 Hocus Pocus movie

I then called the GF who said you have to be a checked in guest to come to their activities, which includes trick or treating!.. i really wanted trick or treating. AoA said since it did not specifically say it, then likely not.

Polynesian Resort said at the Lava Pool 1-2 is relays, 2-3 Oogie Boogie Party, 3-4 Bewitching Games, 4-7:30 trick or treat/dance party on beach, 6:30-7:30 campfire. They too said it was only for registered guests.

They will give out candy at the Big Blue Party. I would head over to the Boardwalk, it was a lot of fun there when we went. They did not mention or ask if we were staying at BW. The last time we went the resort just had CM's walking around the activities area handing out candy.

easyWDW had a pretty comprehensive-looking post a few days that included the schedule of activities for the resorts:

that is great! noting that all star music has trick or treating. i think then AoA should!! OH and character meet n greet! no fair!

anyone know what the Villians through the decades dance party is? will there be characters or do the want people to dress up as the villians?

are the All-Stars pool decks fenced in? that is where the trick or treating and character meets are located so i'm wondering if that is a way to keep non resort guests from participating.

Fort Wilderness is great on Halloween. They have the golf cart parade, characters, and really fun trick or treating around the RV loops. We went last year and no one asked if we were a guest...granted we had been to Mickey's Backyard BBQ beforehand but I don't think they were limiting people.

When we walked through the lobby at AoA they had a sign saying Trick or Treating at the resort!! I was SO glad i saw that and so we went to Animal Kingdom for a few hours in the morning and then headed to the pool area at 3:30pm and they had a treasure map that they stamp when you go around the big blue pool area to their 5 activity stations. First the kids play a game and then get a toy prize, followed by saying trick or treat and getting a handful of candy in their bag (they handed out the bags, same ones as MNSSHP). It was so much for for DD 4. Then by the time we were at the last station there were lines at the stations. Not fun. I'm SO glad we caught the other 4 with no waits. Later on, there were long lines at ever station. Then there was Goofy in his swim costume dancing and posing for pics. The castmember took our photo with him. He left and out came Pluto. They alternated for the evening. The party was 3:30-7pm and then had a movie on the lawn. (the movie is set up feet away from people's room!) So we were surprised that there were characters, games, and trick or treat. Well done Disney!! I had DD 4 in her Nemo wetsuit, so it was a hooded costume with fins, that she could also play in the pool with. Perfect! She was the cutest kid!!
