Sorry I've been MIA for so long. Been so busy for the past few months. We've had the kid's activities, end of school activities, gardening, blah, blah blah....You all know what it's like. How is everyone doing?

Well, if this summer flies by as quickly as this spring has (and I'm sure it will) we'll be crusing before we know it. I'm starting to get really excited again. Our kids still do not know anything about the cruise. I've been thinking of ways to surprise them. We are going to be flying into MCO on Friday, and I think that morning before we leave (they think we are driving to Washington DC for our vacation) I will have a big package for them to open. The first package will have the word "YOU" and another package to open. The next one will contain the word "ARE" and yet another package, followed by packages containing the words "GOING" & "ON", the final package they open will have a pickture of the Magic and will say "A DISNEY CRUISE!". What do you all think? I will also want to get video of the package openings so they can look back on this later and relive the surprise moment.

That sounds fun Buckifan.... I wish my kids did not know... they are driving me crazy. My 7 year old is measuring all time by before and after the cruise.... BC? lol....

D...We've been wondering how you've been! So glad to see you back. LOVE the surprise box idea. I'm excited for them! I think summer will go quickly. Cameron got his pirate costume in the mail today and is STILL wearing it! Poor Cam. His sister, the lovely Miss O, slammed ( and I mean really slammed) his bare foot in the car door today. Took off a huge amont of skin and started to bruise immediately . We're lucky it didn't break. Another fun day down at our house...................

Only a little over sixty more until school begins again...

How's Cam's foot today? Poor little guy. That hurts so bad! I did the same thing to Kylie's finger this past fall....I felt so bad about it. It too bruised immediately. Fingers and toes are so sensitive in the first place. I read in a previous post that you are remodeling your house. How's that coming? We just remodeled our basement from a playroom into a home theatre and game room. We love it now. The kids were getting to a point where they didn't need all the space of a playroom. We made one room for toy storage, though. So glad its all done. I hate all that drywall mess in the house. And when they were here working on it, Sloopy kept escaping and running all over the neighborhood.

BTW, the web site looks great, guys. Kristin, Heather & Teri I love your family pictures. And Mr. Bigfoot's too! You ladies seem so organized with things, how do you do it? I feel like I can barely keep my head above water lately!

Oh Deena, your room sounds great.we want to do that when the kids get older to our bonus room I would love to see some pictures of it...
We still have our basement as a playroom...

Glad you enjoyed the web site let us know if you want to list the kids as trick and treaters and if you want to hand out candy too...or sign up for any of the other actvities.... It was easy to creat and with Heather's help it has been so easy and fun..We have really gotten to know one another so it has been fun...
You seem so organized as well making costumes etc...

D............ Cam will be o.k., his foot is pretty bruised up but at least it isn't broken. The remodeling is going as well as it can go. My house is a complete disaster zone right now. Craig is painting every room. Pulled up all the water damaged carpet. The floors go down in about 2 weeks and the furniture will be here in another 4 weeks. In the meantime it feels like I'm out of control and everywhere I look is a mess. Tough with kids being home. Your rooms sound great. I can't wait to to get to that point.

So, I'm reading the passporter for the zillionth time in two years. I love going through it, remembering everything. I hate to be wishing away the summer, but, I really can't wait for October!!

Anyone reading something good? I need some fun summer reads.

I have been reading the Judy Blume books to the kids this summer. We are reading Superfudge right now.... we are having a lot of fun with it. They stay more intrested than I thought they would. My oldest can read them herself, but it is more fun to read together at night I think!

If you have a hastings near you, they have a summer reading card for the kids, I think you get 20% off all the kids books.

I did this last summer. I did the whole tales of the 4th grade nothing series last year. My kids loved it!! I started some Beverly Cleary books. They don't love her books as much.

Tonight is opening night for the Aberdeen Ironbirds (Cal Ripkin's minor league baseball team) We have season tickets so we will be very busy with games now through Sept. Whats with the luggage sets on sale? I'll have to alert my spouse.

And as for T ot T ideas. I was actually thinking of bringing a non- candy treat. Something that will not encourage our dentists to dance around the office thinking - more business for them! So - I'll just leave our crazy ideas for non -candy things as a mild surprise. And - there will be no Charlie Brown carribean rocks from St Maarten or St THomas!

AS for the shirt designs and so on - give me til SUnday. I'm gone almost all day tomorrow (sat) and I THINK sunday I have time.

Otherwise - it's gonna be a punishingly HOT HOT weekend here in Southern California. This sort of weather is sometimes called "shake and bake" weather here. It seems as if all of our big quakes in the past few decades have come during painfully hot periods.

OK... gotta go now.
