Good evening All,

Heather and I have been working oh soo hard on a web site for our cruise... A moderator recommend to us that having all of our information on a secure web site that can only be accessed by all of us. In turn, we will be able to include much more valuable information about the cruise and all of our activites. Below you will find the information that we will need from each of you to put in the web site.

This is only for the DISers who are posting to this thread. Please have an adult in your group send the following & I will add it to the site & send you the link once I have updated the link. I will add your email to the group list so that you will be notified when the site has been updated with more info.

DIS ID: If you don't include this info, we wont know who you are.
Family name:
Individual names of family members (please include the children' ages at the time of the cruise so that I can put them in the right grouping)
Birthdates: so that we can add them to our cruise list
Celebration:
Stateroom:
Dining:
Hometown:
Pre/Post Cruise Plans: (Date arriving in FL & where you will be staying Friday night & if you plan to stay at WDW after the cruise. This info allowed some of us to arrange meets prior to the cruise.)

A short note with where you work & what activities you like to do.

Please send a picture of your family to be included. This way we will be able to reconize all of you...

For those with children, please send an individual picture pf each child to be put on the DIS Kids page by age group so that the kids can get to know each other a little better. Let the kids tell the others their age, grade in school, favorite thing to eat on the ship, favorite Disney character, & their favorite activity on the ship...whatever they want to write about.

We will have also have a page to list Palo resie times & excursions to help make plans.

Answer just want you want to share. The questions were the suggestion of a moderator. She set up a site for a cruise she was on, and recommended we start up a site. If you can e-mail Kristin and I only the info you want to share, we can send you the link! We also would need to know if you would like to participate in any of the activites or the DIS meet. :thumbsup2

Maybe everybody is under their sink installing a garbage disposal so they can run their dishwasher. That's where I was. I was emptying some nasty stuff out of the fridge and putting it down the disposal when I felt my toes getting wet! I quickly checked and I was NOT drooling (this time). So I open the cabinet door and it's soaked, and gross food stuff was sprayed all over the inside of the cabinet door! ICK! So, I got to go to home depot today! ICK!

I LOVE the new additions to the web site! :rotfl2:

Kristin- It rained here in SC all day. I do like the new addition to the website. :thumbsup2

Awol, That is sooo gross...did youget it all figured out and cleaned out...Bet you needed a good long shower after all of that....Gross.....
I think you and my husband Bruce had the same type of weekend...Apparently our pool has too much copper in it due to someone running our heater sooo much..Wonder who that might be????  So he was away and I though the nasty smell from it meant it needed to be shocked so I shocked it with 5 gallons of shock..well when the copper mixes with the shock it has the reverse effect and makes the copper more present in the water...after two trips to the pool store and a few hundered dollars later looks like the pool might be able to be saved..our pool man is afraid that our heater may go since the coper was so off and that is 3,500.00 to replace...so needless to say Dh is not too happy that in the rain tonight when he gets home he has to tear apart our filter.....ooops!!!!!

Terri,
Raining here as well...flooding tooo..heather said that they have some bad flooding in maryland too...!!!

Yeah, I got it all put back together. But, it put a small dent in the Konk Kooler fund!

Aren't pools fun? Mine is currently loaded with leaves, newspaper, other assorted garbage after the little storm we had last night. I'm just happy I saw the trash can blow in and got it out before it sunk to the bottom! I just got done rebuilding our in-floor cleaning system and next I'm pretty sure I'm going to be tearing apart the pump. There's always something that needs attention with a pool!

BTW, I hope you have a REALLY large pool. 5 gal.s of shock seems like a whole lot!

123 days of anticipation on the wall, 123 days of anticipation... you take one down, pass it around...

Is this in-floor cleaning system for your pool? I sure could use something like that for the house, after running around after the kids this weekend.

I love the little song Chris...I just checked today to see how many more days...once it is under a hundred I will feel better....

SOunds like you worked to hard this weekend..You need/deserve a drink....

The pool is not that large but my father first thought the shock would clear it up unfort.Dh had to neutralize all of the chlorine out of it...so that was a waste of money.....

Hey, that's a great idea! I could use one of those in the house!

Oh, I had a drink! As soon as I heard the new disposal humming, I poured myself a nice one!

5 gal just sounded like a lot of chlorine. That's probably 'cause I don't usually use liquid chlorine. But, super-chlorinating is 5-10 times a normal dose, so that's probably right in line.

Why, a salty dog of course. pirate: Yes, I broke down and BOUGHT grapefruit juice. I'm not proud of it. But the Citron was lonely...

Just 3" tablets. I have no complaints. Although, I'm tempted to try the salt chlorinator - but they are a bit cost prohibitive.

Off hand these are my non-standard recommendations to pack or bring aboard.

1) I'll say a short extension cord with a multi-plug end
2) travel binoculars
3) zip lock bags (sizes of your choice)
4) sunglasses and shade hat or cap
5) I just bring regular packing tape as opposed to duct tape - less sticky residue from the edge of the roll.
6) mark your bags on the exterior for easy spotting - if you travel with generic black bags like us. Once I picked up my bag in Bangkok only to find I had the worng one - and the other person took mine out to Puket - forcing a bag swap over medium distance.
7) emergency ponchos in a bag or an umbrella
8) Anti-seasickness supplies... we bring 3 electric "relief" bands plus accupressue bands. No phamacological remedies for us.
9) Disposable inflatible beach/water toys
10) a couple of locally purchased 6 packs of water with the sport tops
11) Pirate costumes, Princess dresses/costumes, adult costumes for Halloween
12) resort attire + 2 tuxedoes (black and white)

Here are a couple things we do NOT pack that seem to be potential pack along things...

1) No FRS radios!
2) No portable DVD players (we use the notebook computer)
3) NO Ipods!
4) No tupper ware!
5) No rolling collapsible coolers!
6) No camcorder! (we use the pocket digicam to capture VGA MPEG video)
