HI,
Well we may not have any T or T since we only have ginger and dalrene signed up thus far...

Crash,
Glad to hear your wife is enroute and you might finally get some rest.....

Don't give up yet kristen...

... We are still several months out and a lot of folks on our sailing seem to be wandering elsewhere for now. These things take a while to gather all who are likely to participate. Besides you can count my family withy 2 girls 2.75 and 5 as participating, plus your kids. I would not be surprised to end up with about 35-40 kids given we have 62 votes on the poll with 5 months to go! That's still 150 days and a lot of cabins remain unsold!~

So - yeah count us in as participating and as volunteer escorts and coordinators for whatever needs doing to pull it off.

At any rate, the beach was nice today. Light crowds, gentle breezes and nice temps. I packed a 5' tri-wing kite, 5' metal shovel and a bucket with kids toys plus the 2 kids. We made a simple sand fort and flew our 1st kite ever today. Here are some pix from the day...

In the photo above and left is seen Point Dume in the heart of Malibu. In the photo below to the left is Kalea's "fort" dug out by yours' truly with the shovel. And in the photo below to the right is a little pool I dug out for Julianna in the surf... and she is marveling at the sea life that is swimming around in the little pool. Moments later a big wave came along and obliterated the pool as we ran away from the wave.

In the photo below on the left is our "1st ever kite flying" experience, in the right photo is Seaward beach where on the cliffs were the homes of likes of Goldie Hawn and Johnny Carson, plus lots of other famous entertainment personalities.

Oh...

Kristen, thanks for the encouraging words. But... last nite we had an AMAZING thing happen... 9 hours of uninterrupted sleep from 11:30 til 8:45 this morning! Having Kalea's tounge heal fully has made a huge difference - plus we took two evenings to make clear that we would not be doing the carrying and walking thing anymore... so she has been SOoooo good now! I think I'll reinstate contributions to her 529 plan!

LOL! BTW - your girls look absolutely adorable! All I can add is simply... WOW! What wonderful matching outfits!

On another note - for some unknown reason Disney did not deliver the custom sweatshirts I ordered. But they did deliver the custom kids' T shirts I ordered... however, one of them came with a HOLE in it. SO we're gonna have to return it for replacement. To night I'll get a look at it and post a photo.

Cheers! :wizard:

Hope everyone had a great weekend! We were so busy here. Jacob's birthday party was Sat. morning. He had a blast! I will try and post some pictures later. WE had two other parties and three baseball games. Yesterday was Jacob's birthday. It is hard to imagine my baby is now three!

Of course, Timmy and Jacob will be trick or treating. Tim will hand out candy. My Dad and Step Mother will also be handing out candy. I am sure as time goes by we will get a large bunch together!

Tim is flying to Boston this morning for work. Thank goodness he will only be away for the week!

Kristin, the girls look soooooo cute in the dance costumes! I love the picture!

Capt., just love the pictures of the kids at the beach. You really do a nice job taking pictures. I nominate you to take some pictures at our meet after trick or treating! ( that is, if you don't mind)

Ginger and Teri,
We will also be staying at the Radisson the night before. We have family that live on Merit Island. They are talking about taking us out to dinner. If that doesn't work out, maybe we will join you guys for dinner. Ginger, we still need to plan to meet before the cruise, considering we only live ten mins. apart!

Hope everyone has a great week! :thumbsup2

Heather- we would LOVE to have you join us for Dinner!! If you do go out to Dinner with your friends We will have to make time to meet at the pool. I am hoping to spend a few blissful :sunny: hours by the pool Friday.

CaptainCrash- I don't know where you are staying Friday before the cruise, but you are welcome to join us too!!! Ginger is a great person to be around. I am very excited to be able to Cruise with her and her Family again.

Rick and I had a great weekend!! We joined the Church we have been attending for the past several months yesterday. We had previously been attending a local Church for 11 years, but our Pastor left to be a Missionary in Russia. So we have been looking for a new Church for over a year now. We are so happy to finally find a new Church home!!!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!!!

Teri

oh Crash love the pictures and makes me wish I was at the beach....

Ok guys how does this sound in my spare time thinking that if I can figure out how I can make us a dis web page of our own and that way we can keep track of things like trick or treating etc,,,what do you think anyone any good at doing this type of thing and could help me out...?????

Thanks for the invite affirmation Teri - I assume you're talking about the evening before the cruise. We as yet do not know what we're doing or where we'll be staying that Friday evening. We were considering all sorts of things as usual - including 1) WDW if my BIL comes down from Boston; 2) stay around Orlando and do stuff there; 3) stay closer to PC and do the space port which I've wanted to do for some time but never got around to doing. Or 4) we don't know - and won't know until a couple of weeks before the cruise. As we can ocassionally be pretty spontaneous about matters.

And Kristen, the beach can be a little overrated sometimes. Sand gets into everything - and the marine breeze and moisture gets into everything - and leaves a hazy residue on eye glasses and camera lenses. I sometimes worry that the accumulation will eat away at the special coatings on my camera lenses and filter surfaces. Plus it's tough to have enuf fun when handling two kids alone... as having 2 parents around for the same thing makes for a lot more fun for everyone.

Speaking of which ... I drove down with the kids to be close to the airport yesterday - as my spouse was waiting on the ground for her last flight segment home when she excitedly called to say her last flight was way overbooked. They had called for 3 persons to potentially volunteer the use of their seats in exchange for a free flight voucher good for 48 states unrestricted. Plus she would get a hotel and meal vouchers. Well... this was actually not so bad since she was 38 miles from home at LAX and I was 20 miles from her near the other airport. She took a flight with this last connection to regional Oxnard because flying midweek during communter time can mean a 90 minute drive to go 38 miles. So the regional airport encounters far less traffic but consumes a little more time to make the flight.

At any rate - she ended up as the only one to give up her seat - so I amditted at that point that I was in position to surprise her at the other airport and that I would drive down to swim with the kids for a couple hours. The hotel pool is heated and being a larger Marriott - it was huge. So - she flew this morning so she could get her car at the other airport and earn her miles. I looked after the kids another evening alone - but it was not so bad as they slept through the evening without interruption. Lucky for me!

And Princessh;

I would be more then happy to shoot photos of the DIS gatherings in October. I actually was the unofficial DIS phtographer for the last DCL sailing we took in September of 05. I posted the photos for everyone on a central album and emailed password protected access keys to everyone. SO the privacy was reasonable and limited to just DIS folks and whom ever they sent access to. Plus, anyone who wants a CD of all the DIS photos can get a disc from me on the last evening of the cruise. That's exactly what I did on the last sailing.

TTFN!

6 years ago before we had kids - but my spouse was pregnant at this time with our 1st! This was in Tahiti on the Rennisance R4... would you believe it cost only $999 for a 10 nite Tahitian cruise INCLUSIVE of air fare from LA? We upgraded to a window and went with her parents. It was just prior to this sailing that we told her parents that we were expecting. The backdrop was one of the photographer's props that was unattended as we walked by - so we took a couple of "ham" shots not expecting anything of it. And is it turns out this was one of the most memorable little images from the cruise. The digicam was a little 1.25 megapixel Epson that we borrowed from friends - and it was the 1st time I ever used a digicam. I took about 880 photos over the 12 days of travel.

Hope all is well with everyone..
Kristin

Git more rest Kristen....

... as for things for me since my spouse returned - well I'm still waiting for a break since there is so much that needs doing! On the plus side I am very happy with a business meeting I had today... it's good enough to be meaningful to me for years to come. SO in a way maybe i don't need a break from my spouse.

Actually, I'm about to take an hour or so to go relax now. That's all I need as tonite is the 3 tacos of $1.19 promo nite at Del Taco... woo-hoo! :woohoo: ... so I'll get a greasy snack and I'll be sort of happy.

Aside from that - I have yet to see these custom T-shirts from Disney - maybe tomorrow I'll see them and post an image to share.

So get some rest Kristen..... try more hot chocolate with whipped cream - that always helps put a smile on my face. :p

Cheers!

Crash,
Thanks hot cholcolate sounds great....I am off to see my pulmonlogist today for and x-ray and all....so we will see he was not happy to hear from me today....

We are suposed to go to the circus tonight with the kids hoping hte dr. will le tme go..!!!!

Kristin- Here's hoping that your Dr.'s appt. went well today. Sounds like you need to slow down and get some rest. Hope you are feeling better soon.

Teri

Hi All,
Thanks for all of your well wishes...Wish I had better news..But I wanted to let you all know...what happened...I saw the pulmonlogist...Please excuse the typos I just took a pain med and am out of it...right now....
He told me my lung is 30% collapased again...
He gave me three options :
1. have a needle inserted to take out the air
2. have yet another chest tube
3. rest till monday see if it can resolve itself and no surgery
he told me he receommends number three since it is ? if the lung can handle a fourth surgery and if they get in there and it can not they will remove the entire lung...so I am resting and hoping for the best..But thinking the way I am breathing right now I will be going to the hospt...very soon...
Very painfull etc....
Not in the best of spirits thought this was behind me...
I want to say thanks to all of you I feel like I know you all and have not even met any of you...Thanks again..and I will not be posting for a while I am sure since they do not ahve the internet at the hosp...I soo hate that place and thought I would never have to see that wrotten place again...UGH!!!
Thanks so much for all of your well wishes...
Heather and Jen have my home number so hopefully they can keep you updated...
Take care and keep our thread going.... I will need to read all the posts when I return... :cheer2: :cheer2:

Kristen.....we will be thinking about you. Please take care of yourself and get some much deserved rest. Cannot wait for you to get back to the boards. I am sure it will be quite without you here.

Dave

Hi all,

Just wanted to update you quick I saw my surgeon today and bad news the lung is now down 35% so we are going to talk tomorrow and revlauate the idea of suregery.....They are thinking my lung is not strong enough to handle another tube or surgery and we would cause more harm than good...And then we would end up having mroe taken out or all of it....UGH!!!!Too young for that to happen if you ask me...

I will keep you posted when I can ...thanks for all of the well wishes..!!!

Kristin,
I just wanted you to know that you will be in my thoughts and prayer's. I wish you a speedy recovery and hope you are feeling good soon.

Hi everyone,
Just wanted to give you all an update on Kristin. She just got out of surgery. They inserted a chest tube with the hope of being able to reinfalte her lung. They will not be able to tell, for a while, if the surgery was a success or not. She is in a lot of pain, but doing ok. She really hates the idea of being in the hospital. I will be talking to her later tonight, and will post with how she is doing. Lets all say a prayer for her to be feeling better soon!

Heather,
Thanks for the update. Give Kristin my love and well wishes when you talk with her tonight.

TEri

Just dropped in to say hi!

Kristen, I am so sorry to read that your not well, please hurry and get better. I'm sending you lots and lots of pixie dust pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:  for a speedy recovery.

Heather for sure we have to get together. Are you helping Kristen with the T-or-T plans? If so I can help you until she is feeling better. Would also love to get together and exchange info on our before and after the cruise plans. From what you've being writing here seems like we are doing the same. Radisson before and Disney World afterward.

Teri, you're making me blush. :lovestruck

Wish me luck I put in for another DVC contract, a resell, I'm hoping Disney will not buy it away from me.

Got to run for now I'll check back Sunday. :wave2:

Kristen, feel better. :Pinkbounc :bounce:
