Boo!

Did I scare you? lol!

Anyway, my wifes company has a big Halloween party for the employees and their families every year. There is a big costume contest and the grand prize for the family group is a new computer. We could really use one so I am trying to be creative and come up with some fun ideas.

My family cosists of My wife and I and our 2 dd's (3 and 18 mos.)

I would like to do an Alice in WOnderland theme with dd3 as Alice, DW as The Queen of Hearts, Me as Mad Hatter and dd18mo as the Cheshire Cat or white rabbit. THe trouble is, it seems to be nearly impossible to find a Toddler Cheshire Cat Costume. Any thoughts.

Other ideas were Mouseketeers or Peter Pan.

Please help :)

You can always find a striped material and sew together a costume, or a tight gown to go on top of his clothing.

Trouble is, I am not a good sewwer....
I wonder if I could get my mom to do it....

Honestly the cutest costume set I saw at MNSSHP was The Flinstone Family. Daddy was Fred (Big feet and all), Wife was Wilma, white dress with the bone etc. Daughter was Pebbles and Son was Bam Bam. I guess one of your daughters could be Bam Bam though or maybe Dino. It was sooo cute!!!!!

I would get a pink sweatpants outfit and some purple felt. Then just cut out the felt and hot glue it onto the pants outfit. Very simple, i've done it for my kids tons of times for school plays. I am busy working on my "Redhead" costume for next fridays MNSSHP. Hopefully will be able to post pics soon.

My family and I did Wizard of Oz one year. DH was the Scarecrow, I was Glenda, DD #1 was the Lion. (I made the costume) DD #2 was Dorothy (again, I made the costume) and my mom was the Wicked Witch of the West. Unfortunately my ds did not want to cooperate, so we didn't have a tin man. Got cute pictures to share if anyone wants to see......my sister isn't much into the halloween thing so she showed up with a black T-Shirt with a green M on it. It took me a while to figure out she was "Auntie Em".

What a Great Idea! I may go with this if I can't figure anything else out.

Thanks!!! :ccat:

You could dress the kids as 2 of the dwarfs (Sleepy & Bashful would be cute), your DW as Snow White and you as Prince Charming. All the kids would need are turtlenecks with the dwarf name, leggings and a pointy hat.

Last year our family of 4 were Eeyore (DH), Tigger (me), Pooh (DD4) and Piglet (DS1). I had gotten the adult costumes years befgore on clearance at the Disney Store and Pooh on clearance the year before. I bought Piglet an ebay for 12.99. It was adorable! Check out ebay for costume ideas, too!
