Hi! I was thinking of doing a carriage ride and while I'm staying at POR, I thought it may be more fun at Fort Wilderness especially since I'll be going Mid-September. Will the path of the carriage ride go past any kind of fun Halloween decorations? I've heard folks go all out with decorating and I'd love to see it by moonlight. The more halloween I can fit into my trip, the better!

Not 100% sure, but I could swear in the past they offered a Haunted Hayride. We were there a few years ago to HHHR a few weeks before Halloween and camp sites had up all kinds of fun halloween stuff.

About 5 years ago we did a haunted carriage ride thru ft wilderness that played the story of Ichabod Crane and you were chased by the headless horseman. Not sure if they still have this but if so, highly recommend it! It was the highlight of our trip!

I think the headless horseman thing was offered late September into October. I’m going on 9/7 so I think it’s too early for that.
