My little kids are so much fun to trick or treat with. They've been practicing for weeks and are so excited. DS3 is Buzz and DD5 is Sleeping Beauty. Last year was the first year DS3 really got into it and we let them go longer then we needed too but it was so cute. I just threw away a big bag of candy they never ate. I wonder....is there anyplace that like to have trick or treat candy? Or just let them go to one or two blocks? I hate throwing candy away. My DH and I don't eat candy anymore.

Yeah, DS is 3 and THomas the Train, and is REALLY into it this year I am planning on saving a bit for him as teats, then taking the rest to my work. I am a teacher and the high school kids will love me.

When dd was that age, I just took her to a few neighbors' houses. They usually had a special bag all prepared for her. :teeth: She was the only kid in a neighborhood full of retired folks and childless couples--she made out like a bandit!

I'd give her a bit and then take the rest to work after she'd forgotten about it. Keeping it on top of the fridge helped--out of sight, out of mind.
