We're planning out second trip during Halloween. I see there's a post about the Christmas party, does anyone have any info about what goes on during Halloween? I'd love to be prepared :)

Mickey's not so Scary Halloween Party (MNSSHP) is a blast. It is a hard ticketed event at MK during the month of Oct. Went 2 years, and loved it. Many dress up, but not required. THey decorate for Halloween, and have a special parade, and fireworks show. Tons of characters who also dress up in costumes.

Tickets are already on sale. I don't know the dates, but if you go to www.allearsnet.com I'm sure you can find out.

By the Way- You can already make PS, for Liberty tree Tavern, for the nights of the party, once you have purchased tickets.

Have fun- Their will be lots of posts about the party, from now till Oct.- costume ideas, places to see, and do.

Luvmulan - Halloween at WDW is GREAT! We were there Oct 24-31 in 2003 and it was the best trip ever! MNSSHP is a chance for everyone to dress up in costume and enjoy the spooky MK.

LTT was the only sit down restaurant open for the party, so make PS's there early. You can enter MK with your MNSSHP tickets at about 4 pm, even though the party doesn't start until 7 pm. I recommend eating at LTT around 5 pm so MK will be transformed into a Halloween wonderland while you eat! Halloween music is piped in and spooky orange, green, and purple lights illuminate the park. Main Street is lit up beautifully with flying shadows of witches and bats (with Mickey heads!). There are stations where you can trick-or-treat, a special parade, and fireworks of course.

If you happen to be at WDW on Halloween Day, they release special pins in the parks and in some resorts. We had a good time looking for all of them.

I love October in WDW - great weather and a great time!

Do they have haunted hayrides at Fort Wilderness?

I've been watching closely and the tickets are not on sale yet. Probably May 1st like last year. Keep an eye on this site for the date.

We love the party. This will be our third time!

When DH and I were at WDW during our honeymoon in 2001 - I found out about MNSSHP when the monorails stopped for some "mysterious fireworks" show (in my mind anyway). Then we stopped at the MK and all these little ghools and goblins climbed aboard with buckets full of candy - and I flipped out!

See, I'm also a halloween fanatic, and we were able to go on another night. I was so excited with all the decor, creepy music and costumes, I cried!! This mainly, because everyone wore costumes, and I had none!

Ended up going back the very next year, costumes in hand. It is a special treat for sure.

Lots of Haunted Mansion music, a great Villan's halloween parade, and fireworks that explode SURROUNDING the park. Its amazing. Don't miss the parade with the headless horseman as he runs through first, to start the upcoming parade.

for the replies, I'll keep an eye out for tickets, this sounds like so much fun! I wish I could stay an entire week for Halloween but with the kids in school, it can't be done but they are missing school for Halloween day! LOL :earboy2:
