Does anyone have any experience at WDW the final week of October? I realize the parks will be crowded on Halloween day, but how are the few days before the holiday?

It can be a little busy because there is the Food and Wine Festival too.

It's a great time to visit though! October is my favorite time at WDW.

The crowds wont be too bad, and they do a really good job of decorating the MK! :thumbsup2

We've been before - the crowds are good - the weather is nice since it's not super hot - plus the decor is very cool as Mike says.

We're going that week with our 2 best CSPs and their 'lil one - who'll only be a year. We may bring grandma along so she can baby sit. ;)

We really apprecaite the weather and that Food and Wine is on + it's really not that crowded - compared to peak weeks.

My favorite time! The lines were nil. The weather was perfect! We will be going in Oct this yr, but a bit earlier (fall break so my cousin can go with us).

I highly recommend Oct!

That's when we were there last year. It was a great time to be there! I highly recommend it. We were there for 6 nights and the crowds were very comfortable. The waits were not bad and if you use FP, it's a breeze to see almost everything. Just avoid Epcot's WS area on Friday and Saturday nights and you are all set for an awesome vacation!

We didn't do a regular park on Halloween, we did BB and did the Luau at the Poly, spur of the moment. It was a great day!

Thanks for all your input, guys. :goodvibes

I've decided to go from the 28th until November 1st. I guess I should post that on the "Planned Trips" topic. I'm all excited now. :yay:

Since I am a major planning geek. I have data on that time frame in 2006, because I collected it knowing that we were going in 2007, as well as all of the info from 2007. I have TouringPlans and TGM data from that I would gladly share with you. Just ask!

ETA: I also think that I have sunrise/sunset and weather details for both years. Like I said, major planning geek.

Wow. There's someone out there who actually plans more than I do. ;) The most I've ever planned for a WDW vacation was when I was still living with my parents. We'd book our room a year in advance, but that was pretty much because there weren't that many hotels/resorts back then, so rooms booked quickly.

Thank you. I might take you up on that.

Great Choice! :thumbsup2 We'll be there some of the same days - so may run into you. We don't have much of a schedule for this trip. We have the 'lil man, as we've been directed to call him, and we have to work within his schedule. His parents are CSPs and our best friends - she tends to try to do 4 parks in 1 day - which exhausts us all...I can't wait to see how she is with the 1 YO at the parks.

I'm sure you'll have a great time!

My boyfriend and I will be there from 10/26 - 11/2! First time staying at the Yacht Club. It seems from reading the previous posts we chose a good time crowd-wise! :hyper:
