I need information on Halloween at the Fort. We are trying to move our reservation to the fort but with the free dining it's been hard to get through. Right now we are at the Caribbean Beach because with 5 it was the most economical option. We are thinking about doing the Not so scary Halloween party on 11/1. Any thought on what we can do for the 31st? We heard the campground is the place to be but do you all frown upon non campers trick or treating?

Honestly, fantasmic, it sounds like half the WDW resort shows up at the Fort on Halloween. Just expect congestion.

Here is the sheet from last year with H-related activities as fyi.

Hey bama Ed was wondering what it's like at the fort on Halloween night. We always go to the fort that week but are usually at the party at the mk on Halloween night. This year we are considering doing the party another night and staying at our camper and watching the parade that day. When we used to get back from the party the campground was quiet after midnight but wanted to know what it's like during trick or treat hours and how many show up.

From what we have heard from the last few years it is very busy. People have described large roaming crowds of ghosts, pirates, princesses, superheros, villains, dogs, cats, witches, zombies, skeletons, and even the occasional castmember. They say bring "lots of candy" if you plan to distribute for the masses.

Rumor is that Disney is doing a better job of keeping locals from coming into the campground, thus trying to keep it to resort guests only. However, like BamaEd stated, it pretty much looks like anybody staying at a Disney resort can come over and enjoy the festivities.

Never been, SamRoc. You can look at the trip dates in my signature and see that i am more of a spring visitor. But i have followed Halloween here on the DIS and it sounds like fun and controlled chaos.

Hopefully those who have been can chime in. I am just helping spread information.

Thank you! By the time we head to the mk for the party about 3pm and get back after midnight the fort seems pretty normal to us! Would love to hear from someone who has been there, I am sure the trick or treating is crazy!
